I was hoping that here, of all people, there would be someone who would understand.

I have this sort of "apron" of fat that goes over my belly. You can't really see it when I'm dressed, but let's just say it's probably the first thing my husband will notice when he sees me naked for the first time.

It's not so much the look of it that bothers me, but it's the fact that because the area under it gets no exposure, and sweat gathers under it...it doesn't smell very pleasant at all.

I know I'm a long way from even getting married, but I worry that someday when I get married, my husband will find me repulsive and won't want to make love to me.

Does anyone else have the "smelly belly" problem, and what do you do to fix it? I wash the area often, but I still worry...

*hugs* I've never met someone with that issue before, and I personally think it shouldn't matter either. If you're gonna marry him, then he should love you for you, not your body or anything that goes along with it.
It is still a valid concern though, and no one here is going to laugh at you for it. I have no experience with this, but maybe one of the other women here will have something later. Seems like everyone is in bed by now, lol *looks at clock saying nearly 3 am thinking he should go soon too*
Check back tomorrow dear, someone should have something to say by then. *hugs again*

Ugh, I know exactly what you mean. Unfortunately, this paunch (or, at least that's what I like to call it) won't ever entirely go away until you lose all the weight. And I mean all. I've been losing weight for a while now, and it's still there (smaller, though). It's just a result of how your body has decided to store the fat.

Best advice I can give you, besides losing the weight, is just to bathe daily. If you're really worried about it, in the summer, just take a washcloth and wipe the area dry, cuz it's the collection of the moisture that causes the problem.

And, I agree with Locke_Dirks-if the guy loves you for who you are, a bit of fat shouldn't get in the way.

Yeah, it's unfortunate that one of your only options is to lose weight if you want to fix the problem completely. That's just the way some people's bodies store fat, I'm lucky that my stomach doesn't do that, so I don't really have experience with it or any real advice.

I had a friend who had that problem, but I didn't tend to smell her all that closely, so I dunno if she had the same problem. I just remember she said something about if her stomach covered so much of her crotch, which it did, then she could have insurance help pay for lipo suction sweatdrop

She had a fiance and I know she wasn't a virgin, so I don't think it matters all that much sweatdrop

Guys tend to ignore things that girls are really self-conscious on when they're into the girl... Like my boyfriend doesn't care about my stretchmarks and he likes my stomach even though I absolutely hate it... He tends to go more for skinny girls, but he likes me for me.

I dont personally have that belly, but one of my best friends does...she puts deoderant and babypowder there... I couldnt smell anything so I never thought she smelled, but she was self conscious about it... with your husband though I can only say this... feel sexy (which sometimes is hard but with the right guy it should come easily) sexyness trumps self-conciousness anyday...

make deodarant our best friend..
jade is a holder of many rolls herself and wishes that someone would have told her years ago that you can put deodarant under your rolls to help with that problem..
solid deodarant i find works best..

shower daily, twice is you're blessed with the wonderful humidity like i am
and deodarant inbetween all your fulds and it helps..

xp dollface...dollface...you are amongst a loving bunch.

My bf has this problem. I'm a big flaming wierdo so I love his funk. redface I suppose it's got to do with that whole pheremone deal. The person who you are with should be one who loves and accepts all of you. And trust me, you'll know when it's true love.
As for ways of getting the smell away, you can always do as a few peeps have said. deodorant, washing the area...or even toting some small cleanser naps for a quick refresher in the bathroom. I have a similar issue with my breasticles (mainly from the fact that they do not perk...) and have found the refresher napkins to be a lovely investment.

*Has the same problem*

I wash with the Clearasil-type daily face wash (the one for sensitive skin is the best, but you could use the off brand for normal skin if you have to. It helps kill some of the bacteria that causes the smell & the other problems) & then I dry off really well. I usually use some kind of powder afterwards to dry up any excess moisture & to help my skin glide over itself. In between showers, baby wipes are the best. Also, a cold washcloth seems to help as well. Just dry off really well & use more powder or deodorant.

There are deodorants you can get that stop the sprayed areas from sweating. If I have a really sweaty day ahead of me, I usually spray some of that in between there and I'm all right for the rest of the day. Also when it does get infected a little use almond oil on it. It's excellent for bringing the infection down.

Marry a man who loves you no matter what. Don't marry a man that is so easily repulsed by the one he supposedly loves. I have that too, and my husband still loves me to pieces and reminds me how hot he thinks I am. And he's not even a man who is strictly drooly over BBWs. Don't be so self-concious, hun. You're awesome.
