Oh, I think there was another glitch in Suikoden II that really pissed me off. When trying to recruit Gordan, when you sell something to him, the price that you ha left to sell would go up!! I was so mad each time that happened to me because I spent hours buying stuff from trading posts, teleporting back to the castle and going through Banner Pass.

I had to sell some stuff to Gordan and then do a major event before selling him more things. He was the last person I recruited on my 4th gameplay in Suikoden II. xp

The worst glitch I found, which can actually be quite helpful...if you survive...is in the very beginning of the game. The gate that leads to Matilda at the Muse-Matilda border can be pushed back, letting you into the knightdom, while you're at what? Level 8? So if you're lucky, you can get the the Forest path and pick up the Dragon Armor. Even luckier, if you run into Holly Boy's you can level up to near 30. sweatdrop

I love that glitch. But because I was so weak, I trained in the Sindar Ruins until I was at a decent level before going into the land of Matilda. Afterwards, I'm pretty much invincible for the rest of the game so it's all good. cool

spoiler...

This is the power leveling glitch. The best time to do this is right after receiving the true runes. Also, after leveling to about 40, it would be best to consider recruiting Humphrey and Futch (and even better if you had load the S1 data with Humphrey equipping the wind armor), adding another two LV38-40 characters to your party.

One weird thing I've noticed is that every time I use the power leveling glitch all the major battle events tend to be in my favor, where as w/o the glitch it usually ends in the enemies' favor.

only thing i ever notice was some of the bad grammer but other than that, nothing out of the ordinary. there are some games that can't even spell 'favorite' right, they spell it like 'favourite' rolleyes

Doesn't bother me..If you're English or Irish that's the correct spelling... domokun

SUIKODEN II RULES! Yeah just had to get that out of my system. And I really don't think that just because she says she smittin doesn't mean shes a lesbein. I mean lots of girls are stunned at other girls beauty. At least thats how I thought of it when I read that npc's statement. (I actually do remember reading that) I played that game a thousand times and I never encountered some of the glitches your talking about. Though I was did find this wall I could walk through. can't remember where is was though.

Tell me about it. Got that glitch after I spent half an hour teleporting back and forth between villages and towns to trade. Needless to say, I lost a lot of money.

They probably made a coding error

Well, it could be a translation error, not necessarily a progamming error. However, stuff like that doesn't matter much, does it? It's the main storyline everyone pays attention to. biggrin

The most horrible glitch that I've ever come across in Suiko is the one in Tinto (Suikoden II) where you can't escape Gustav's house. You can run around the front portion of the house, but there's absolutely no way out unless you turn off your console.

That, and 2 hours straight of gaming WITHOUT saving. stressed
This happened to me before. I was pissed.

Nah she's not a lesbian, this kind of 'fangirl'ing is pretty common place in Japanese games/anime and stuff. They're simply a bit over the top about admiring how great that person is.
