I made a point of remembering that scene.
That was one where Klinger came in grief-stricken, with a letter about a dying
relative (in this case, Father dying, IIRC.)
Blake didn't bat an eye. He just glanced at it.
"Uh-huh."
*takes out a file-folder of papers, and begins flipping papers*
"Father dying last year."
*flip*
"Mother dying last year."
*flip*
"Mother AND Father dying last year."
*flip*
"Mother dying, and older sister pregnant."
*flip*
"Older sister dying, and MOTHER pregnant."
*flip*
"Here's an oldie but a goodie-
half of the family dying,
the other half pregnant."
*dumps the folder on the desk, leans on it*
"Klinger, aren't you ashamed of yourself?"
"Yes, sir.
I don't DESERVE to be in the Army."
I'm confident I dropped a sentence before or after Blake's last line,
something about Klinger having anything to say for himself.
