She didn't want to go back - With her sister dead, living with Callix in Durem was quite the experience and a good release from reality. However, the sidhe had decided it was high time to at least face her mother and tell her. Unfortunately for her, Ianna wasn't around and she didn't have another ride for a few hours.
Nor did she have enough money for a taxi. The teen sighed and sat herself down on the familiar couch, closing her eyes. Maybe she could nap the time away - even if her clothes weren't exactly the best thing in the world to lounge in. The white jeans were tight, her black shirt was cropped up above her belly button (though it was the most decent shirt she wore and actually had sleeves and wasn't see through.) and she had a nice pair of boots on that would cramp her feet after a bit.
Hey - she'd TRIED to be decent for her mom.

For once, it was Levis that wasn't pleased. She didn't want to come back to the Headquarters, not after the last time, when everything had been trashed, when the twins had been told that they were important. Being important meant that you weren't free. The young "demon" already knew that.
The already developing twin was muttering under her breath as she followed her brother, a few paces behind, speaking not to herself, but to the shadows around her. Since it was day, you'd think there weren't many, but she'd learned early on that even the shadows in her clothing were sentinent. Red eyes widened slightly, and she touched Malum's sleeve.
"Brother," someoneishere.
Blue eyes lit, and that heavenly grin appeared on a pretty face as Malum ran his fingers through his curls, barely pausing at the warning. He was ready for company, after all, they couldn't do HIM harm. He was perfect. His smile didn't even break when he saw the busty teenager. Coailiann? She'd grown again. How disgusting of her. In reality, the fact that his grin of pleasure seemed genuine was scarier than usual, and he turned up his palms at the figure on the couch.
"Why, Levis! Look at who we've run into! What luck we have, wouldn't you say?"
"What luck, indeed, Malum."
... So the twins were strange. So what?

Kay wasn't particularly busty - she was just average, to be honest, but certain angles made her look more so. The voices that reached her caused her to open one green eye and then another - how wonderfully marvelous. The twins. Lee, she didn't so much mind - it was MALUM that infuriated her to absolutely no end.
Without fail.
Every time.
"Mm. Hello you two." She shifted and her pink wings fluttered a bit - she'd finally gotten them and she would no longer b***h about them being gone. In fact, they were more of a nuisance than anything since she couldn't fly quite yet.
"What brings YOU here?" at least the Headquarters was completely restored.

Malum easily brushed aside her question, to widen his eyes a bit in mock innocence, and step forward, seeking to pinch at her wings.
"Why, look again, Levis! Our dearest Coailiann has finally caught up to us and regained her wings! How... cute. I don't suppose they actually work, do they?'
A cloyingly sweet smile, and he turned away from her, to look around the headquarters with fake delight and interest. Levis, lifting her dark eyebrows, smoothly slid onto the couch, watching bother her brother and Kay at the same time, a hint of amusement lurking in her eyes.
"Hello, Coailiann. You are beautiful."
At least she'd responded to the young woman.
"Malum has come to steal the television."
Now the blonde stopped eyeing the new plasma to look even more innocently at the two females.
"Steal? Why, I never...! Levis, you know your dear brother would not steal! Relocate, perhaps."
"Yes, yes. Malum has come to relocate the television."

Her eyes narrowed into slits and she shoved Malum's hand away, the thin, frail looking appendages fluttering furiously, "Of course they work - what's the point of having wings if they don't work?" The teen lied as she scooted onto the other end of the couch.
"I do not think my mother would be too pleased if you decided to take the television though I sincerely doubt that you'd be able to anyway. It's large. Of course it doesn't bother me - I don't live here anymore."
The last was said with a smirk. Turning her head on Malum she looked to Lee and smiled, "How've YOU been, Levis?"

Malum's grin faltered slightly, and a flash of hot rage appeared in his eyes, before being smothered, and replaced with icy humor. No, he wasn't strong enough. Levis was, one of her darker gifts, and something he resented. Still, his voice was smooth as he covered it up.
"I do not believe we cared if you were bothered. Besides, Levis will lift it, I wouldn't bother with it myself."
Levis looked a bit uncomfortable, then a mask of apathy slipped onto her face, and she nodded, confirming his statement even as she answered Kay.
"I have been... Irritable."
It was true, uncharacteristic bits of snarkiness had been influencing her since she'd grown, something she was sure came from her increased powers. Darkness constantly whispered to her, and with it, came annoyance.
Malum stopped caressing the television to sit on the couch between the two girls, one hand dropping to rest on his sister's thigh, and the other on the couch behind Kay.
"What male are you sleeping with, then? By that, I mean residency, my dear, in case you had other ideas. I know how your mind slips."
Very odd children, they were.

"Do what you will - you'll just have to deal with my mother." She rolled her eyes and stood up as Malum sat - she wasn't going to be near him. If she was, she'd end up kneeing him in a very private place just as she did to her dear Callix.
...She still felt bad about that.
"I'm sorry you've been irritable, Lee. Anything in particular? Maybe your buzzing, annoying brother?" She shot a look toward the blonde - rivalries would never end, would they?
Kay froze at Malum's question. Why did he have to say something like that? Her own rage smoldered behind her green eyes and she let out a slow hiss. No. She wouldn't let him get the better of her. Deep, slow breaths were taken and she calmly answered, "You wouldn't know him, and it doesn't matter....As for my mind slipping." she paused.
My mind is still stronger than yours.
Her voice reached out for him.

As soon as she touched the boy's mind, a black, crackling shield appeared around him, swirling and shooting sparks, before fading away, leaving Levis hissing as she clutched her skull. Malum seemed completely unaffected, his cold eyes narrowing as he shamelessly used his sister, one of his only offensive abilities, and something he'd begun to tinker with. Coailiann was definately stronger than him, but the twins together could rival her. His icy mental voice mingled with the dark, seductive rage of Levis' and shoved back at her.
DONOTTHINKTOFRIGHTENUS.WEWILLNOT--
They lacked skill, and made up for it in raw, untapped power. Levis' eyes flared black, briefly, and she shoved her brother, cutting off the link, and tugged her cap lower, hiding her expression in shadow.
"It is not my brother that ails me."
Alone, her mental voice was quite, almost soothing.
Itismyself.

Coailiann had her own shields - the twins together definitely were stronger, but that didn't stopp a strong mental jolt from her own abilities to hit them both. Lee for being his shield and Malum for controlling it. She, however, had a very bad headache afterward from the combined force of a mental voice and the discharge of her shield.
To her credit, she hid it well despite the slightly glazed green eyes and Kay was about to comment on that little outburst when Lee spoke.
"If you want to speak about it, I don't mind listening." she frowned and looked over at Malum, "Alone."

Her shadows stroked against her skin, soothing her, and removing the traces of magical headache, causing Levis to peer out from her cap at Kay, pain radiating from her red eyes. Lee wasn't like her brother. She didn't want the power, and from that demonstration, she clearly was the 'stronger' twin. She seemed to consider Kay's offer, but faltered when Malum squeezed her hand, and closed her mouth.
"Levis does not need the likes of you to support her. She has me, which is definately of more value than a confused, selfish trollop."
He smiled sweetly, running his gaze over her clothing with a hint of disapproval, and got to his feet, stretching. Levis also stood, but moved away from them, to place a hand on a wall, thinking quietly.
"You should not have struck out at us, Coailiann. We are no longer babies for you to play with."
Malum's voice was as angelic as ever.

"I did not strike out at either of you," Coailiann answered, carefully concealing the pain of her head which was slowly beginning to recede, "If I did, you'd know it." The girl was grated at the insults but did her best to ignore them. It wasn't something she didn't hear often as it was - why it bothered her more coming from Malum was confusing to her, though.
"I don't think you'd count as a valuable source of support, Malum. You're a great deal more selfish and definitely more sadistic than I am."

There was a moment of tense silence, in which Levis stared at the wall, Malum stared at Kay, and neither said a word. It was in this moment where a million possibilities stood, a very large one including Malum physically striking the teenager before him. In fact, the air was charged, and both children stiff.
Then Lee turned her head slightly, to regard the two, and it was broken, Malum's shoulders relaxing into fluidity as he instead reached for Kay, lifting her hand to press a gentle kiss to the back of it.
"You are right. I apologize."
Levis stalked away from the wall, a curious smile on her face as she approached, and passed them by, heading for the door.
"Come, Malum, we have overstayed our time."
"Mmmn, yes. I do believe my sister is correct. Goodbye, Coailiann. Say goodbye, Levis, dear."
"Goodbye, Coailiann. We shall speak soon."
The blonde let her hand drop, a toothy grin flashing briefly on his face before he slipped out the door behind his twin.

....Why? Why did that boy infuriate her one moment and act completely different the next? As Levis and Malum left the headquarters, Coailiann simply stared at her hand. Nobody had done that before. And he'd apologized? The teenager was just dumbfounded and speechless.
"Yeah! Well!" She called after the door that was already closed - s**t. He'd completely beaten her that time. "Argh!" She looked around for something to throw at the door and finding nothing she instead stalked to her old room. Maybe her diary was still there - she felt like stabbing something with a pen for a few ******** Malum.
