((This is for the AshDiina family. 8D))  Diina trotted into HQ, looking around hopefully for Ashaan and the rest of their kits. Duncan followed behind her, somewhere just on the edge between kit-hood and teen-hood. Not spying any of them in the immediate area of the main room she headed for the kitchen. They didn't seem to be in there, either...
She got a cookie off of the ever-present plate and chewed on it thoughtfully, trying to decide if they should go look somewhere else or wait a few minutes to see if they showed up.Duncan dutifully followed his mother into the kitchen and took up a guard post a few paces from her with his back to the wall and himself between her and the door. Momma either hadn't really realized what he was doing when he behaved like this or didn't think anything of it; probably both, she was protective of the kids when she needed to be and probably wouldn't like the idea of him trying to put himself between her and danger instead of the other way around.
He uttered a wordless cry, hoping perhaps that the family would hear it and know they were there, just in case they'd simply missed them. He had yet to speak, and that did seem to bother Momma, but since he obviously could make sound, she wasn't sure what to do about his lack of interest in forming words. He just... didn't want to say anything unless he was sure it was worth saying, really. He hadn't found anything he really wanted to say yet, except "I love you", but somehow when he said it Momma always seemed to be asleep without him knowing...

There was indeed a "danger" lurking, though it probably wasn't at all the sort that Duncan was expecting. One of his sisters had escaped her father and had been sneakily following along behind the two. Ashaan was still outside for the moment but she intended upon ... attack!
Creeping into the kitchen from a different angle, she snuck along the wall and eventually made a kind of howling noise (not very loud as she was also still small) and jumped - pouncing on her brother.

Valencia lounged around on a cushion, tuckered out from 'hunting' that day. The crickets and other agile insects had proven to be much more difficult to capture then she had initially expected. The click of nails against the ground alerted her the arrival of her mother and bother if not her sister, ears twitching as she followed their movements.
Rising at last, she flicked her tails and padded towards the Kitchen, spurred on by Duncan's call. Was there something wrong? She knew he didn't speak much.... Poking her head around the corner, she blinked as something flew at Duncan. After a moment, she realized it was her sister and chirruped happily. She always enjoyed her sibling's company even if she did end up losing their little mock battles on occasion.
"Sister! Brother!" She'd begun speaking but her choice of words were still rather young and she rarely called anyone in her family by anything other then sister, brother, mama, or papa. She pranced into the kitchen, hoping she could join in the 'attack'.

Late, as usual, Zik made a quiet entrance. His red eyes darted about the room as he absorbed all of the action. His ears perked up and he became antsy, stepping about in place as he desperately wanted to join the fun.
I know! I'll get Val! He thought craftily. He rather liked his sister, Valencia. She had his eyes and he liked shortening her name to 'Val' because it was like his name- a mere 3 letters long (not to mention it was about the only thing he could say). He idolized her in a way.
He crouched low to the ground and pounced in front of his female sibling. His bottom was raised in the air and his tails flicked about in anticipation.
"Val! Val! Val!" He mewed repeatedly before he jumped.

Diina was brought back from her space-staring session when she heard Duncan yelp in surprise. What started as a worried frown rapidly developed into a delighted grin as she trotted over to nuzzle each of her children in turn. "Hullo! How is everyone today?" She frowned again just a little bit when she realized Ashaan wasn't here. "Where's Ashaan?"
Duncan hadn't really expected Momma to bother trying to get Nandiya off his back. Literally. But it was ok, he didn't mind really. He liked playing with his siblings, and their rough and tumble games made them all stronger, so he didn't feel like he had to worry about them... at least, not as much.
He squirmed until he could roll his dark-furred sister off of him and tried to pin her down in turn, grinning all the while.
((Two dark furred, two light furred, but Duncan's the only one that got Diina's green eyes. XD I think that's funny for some reason, because I ended up with both of them.))

"Brother!" She called out in delight at Zik came at her. She rather enjoyed his company. Valencia reared back as he jumped, meeting his charge with her own solid block. Hooking forelegs, she spun, dancing on her hind legs with her tails swishing all about.
Playfully, she batted at the other's face, turning her face upwards when mother came around to nuzzle them. She grinned and looked back Zik, her expression mischievous. Dropping to a crouch, her tails wagging excitedly, she wiggled back and forth, waiting for Zik to do something.

((Hai, you should compile all the kiddies in the first post or something, I get confused on how they all look and such. xDD))
Upon being nuzzled by Mama, Zik gave her a quick lap on the cheek with his soft, pink tongue. But it was quickly back to business!
He looked at his sister's devious eyes. He quickly, and without warning, darted around her and pounced on her back. He caught the end of her ear and softly chewed on it. She was at his mercy!
((This reminds me of kittens. I could watch kittens romp around and fight each other for hours. e.e In fact, I think I did once. xd ))

"Oomph!" She squeaked as her brother bounded around and then proceeded to jump on her. She wriggled furiously, paws scraping at the ground as she tried to throw him off. It didn't help that one ear was being tugged on, either.
Finally, she managed to get her hind feet under and pushed with all her might, trying to roll her brother over her front. Closing her eyes she hoped it would work.

Nandiya squeaked loudy when Duncan finally managed to get her off his back and went tumbling across the floor, yelping with each roll. It wasn't in pain or fear though - more simply to be making noise. And hey, rolling like that kept her from getting pinned! Attracted by all the noise, Ashaan finally poked his head in, having just come from outside. His fur was a little ruffled, as it was still cold out there sometimes, but it quickly smoothed down at seeing his family all together and so obviously happy. "I'm here, Diina," he called softly, looking at her across the floor with a smile.(( Edited! XD ))

Diina gave an exclamation of delight bounded over, nearly knocking Ashaan over in her enthusiasm. "Ashaaaaaaan~!" she sing-songed, nuzzling at him and purring. "What were you doooing~?"
Duncan grinned at his dark-furred sister and did his best to herd her toward their other siblings. He had every intention of causing a pile-up if he could manage it.

When Zik saw Ashaan walk in, he immediately lost interest in everything around him. He was so excited that when he went to say, 'DAAADY!' it just came out, "Eeeeeeeee!" in a loud squeak. He bounded over and rubbed his body against his father's front leg. He idolized his father and hoped to be just like him when he grew up.

Still rolling, Nandiya really had no idea where she was going, just having fun doing so. As such ... she ended up going exactly where her brother pointed her and eventually bumped into one of the others with squeak.
Suddenly confronted with mate and kit all at once, Ashaan backed up just a bit with a laugh. "Hey hey ... I'm here all day," he pointed out, nuzzling Diina back and lifting the paw Zik was rubbing on just a bit. Then he prodded his son with said foot, gently, playing.
