I've noticed that people are seeking character help, and I have had a few accumulations of guides that can help fulfill that task.

Wow, these links were actually pretty useful! I've been having trouble creating decent characters and I some of these links were rather insightful. Thanks!

Though I have before and am now using this list to help fill out a character, I believe there is a flaw in using it for RP characters, in that it attempts to have you construct facts from a first person perspective, and RPing should in general take place in a third person perspective, since it can be maintained by all players instead of having every character reading out their own bits and making the whole thing disjointed. So I think we should create an altered version of this list that has been adapted to third person perspective; Also, there are a number of questions that, as given, can easily be defaulted to a yes or no answer, such as:

18. Did you enjoy school?
Yes

And alternate form may be:

How did you/___ like school?; or however would best convert to my first bit, I've not slept so I won't attempt it at the moment lest words be murdered.

I agree with your statement. It should be placed in third person context.

I think that getting into the mindset of a character is a great way to RP. It's a better way of figuring out what sort of reaction that character would give to any given circumstance. Obviously most role-playing is done in first-person, however, the ideas, actions, reactions, thought etc that the character provides should all come from having looked at it through a first person perspective.

Or at least, that's my opinion wink
