Haha, I remember seeing some guy on youtube that claimed to be the 'fastest picker to set a record'. Basically, he didn't switch notes at all, he just twitched his arm and it sounded like he was starting up the engine of a car. confused Anyways, I don't think it really matters how fast a guitarist is to an extent. I think the fastest guitarist that has the highest clean note to bad note ratio is Paul Gilbert. Doesn't mean he's my favorite, though.
