Introduction
We at the Press are always in need of new staff members, new faces, and new opinions. Being a member of our team is pretty simple, and only involves as much time as you're able and willing to put in. You can be an on-again off-again reviewer, a monthly columnist, or just a general helping hand. Whatever job you're interested in at the Press, this is your place to find it.

Positions
This is an overview of what positions exist at the Press.
Editor-in-Chief Aside from making sure the final draft is posted on time every month, the Editor-in-Chief is in charge of hiring new junior editors, as well as promotions to Editor status. She also oversees the Vice Editor and Lead Columnist.
Vice Editor The Vice Editor helps ensure that the draft is put together, as well as updates the archives. She is also in charge of hiring and overseeing the reviewers and critics.
Editors Now Hiring Editors are charged with proofreading, selecting the works for the draft, as well as maintaining submission archives.
Junior Editors Now Hiring Junior Editors help with proofreading the various submissions.
Lead Columnist The Lead Columnist writes his normal monthly column as well as overseeing the rest of the columnists. He is also in charge of hiring new columnists.
Columnists Now Hiring Columnists write a monthly column on a variety of different topics of their interests. Because columns will ideally be ongoing, we wont run your column until you have at least 3 written (not necessarily edited), so we know we can sustain it for a few months, even if you get busy. This way we both know that it's a topic with sticking power.
Critics Now Hiring Critics choose pieces to which they offer criticisms on how to improve the works, much like an editor would.
Lead Reviewer The Lead Review strives to provide a new review each month, as well as keep track of all other reviews, and manage the La Revue thread.
Reviewers Now Hiring Reviewers write reviews on anything from movies and music, to video games, as well as rank them in accordance to the Gaian Press Ninja Scale.
Public Relations Officer Now Hiring The Public Relations Officer is in charge of the Press' relationships with advertisers and partner guilds, etc., as well as overseeing their staff. (a little help here?)
Public Relations Staff Now Hiring As staff working under the Public Relations Officer, they help in all his/her tasks. Further more, they, along with the lead officer, scout the writer's forums, advertise for the guild where possible, and generally talk-us-up around Gaia.(anything else?)
Scouts Now Hiring Scouts wander the literature forums of Gaia, finding likely short stories, ongoing stories, or poems to publish. Once found, they contact the author and first receive information before going any further. if they get permission, they add the submission to the Mound.
Graphic Designers Now Hiring We need a few people to help manage and create the various images need throughout the Press.

(3) On a scale of 1 - 10, with 1 being a disappearing-and-reappearing writer and 10 being a chief editor, how active do you plan to be at the 'zine? (4) How often are you online at Gaia? (5) Preferred position? (6) Writing sample/s (if necessary)
If you're applying for a job as Editor, Junior Editor, Columnist, Critic, or Reviewer, you should include a writing sample. This can either be directly copied and pasted into the form, or provided as a link. It shouldn't be too long. If you don't have an specific works, it might be a good idea to first submit something (a review, etc), before you join on as offical staff. For editors, we just want to see that you have a good command of the english language, grammer, etc.
For Public Relations Officer, Public Relations Staff, or Scout, no sample in necessary.
Graphic Designers should include some sample of their work, in whatever form they have.

Staff Responsibilities
Generally, we staffies disregard our so-called 'Positions' and simply help where we can. Among the things we do are:
Content for the Neighborhood Watch This is actually a very easy task. The Gossip section is mainly a repeat of things in the Announcement thread along with neat threads found throughout the forum. For advertisement, look to see if anyone is interested or scout out some interesting writing-related threads and ask if they would like to be advertised.
Voting for Best of the Issue and other things Every issue, as you know, we have a Best of the Issue (BOI). The winner is awarded 500g. This is always voted on by the staffies. If we have no staffies around to vote, then we're at a loss.
Giving opinions and ideas Often times we have discussions in the Headquarter's thread (HQ), where we generate ideas and suggestions. Every new mind is an asset to help think these things over.
General editing Watch for mistakes in the issue as well as in our submissions. We want good quality work.
Keeping track of our threads outside the guild Our submissions thread has a tendency to sink. Keep an eye on it and post something now and then to keep it afloat. Not necessarily "BUMP," just a comment. There may also be questions that need answering.
Critiquing in The Mound You don't have to critique anything, but someone should. You don't even have to do it all at once or as it comes in. Just every now and then, critique one or two things. Lastly, it's okay to add something of your own to the Mounds, but please, don't make a mound of you own.
Decide your literary contribution to the 'zine Again, you don't have to add something to each issue, or any issue at all. You can work behind the scenes if you wish. But adding something can not only be fun, it adds to the experience of running a magazine! You can make your own column, providing you have the writing ability to. You can run a project, like my Seven Sins project or Jaho's Political Writing Project. Or even a small segment to help other writers in their pursuits. There's a long list of possibilities, so why not explore them?
Advertise the guild around Gaia Please include a link back to the TGP guild in your signature. This isn't a requirement, mind you, but it would help promote the 'zine to more readers.

Hey, Rushifa! Nice thread idea. It looks like you copied and pasted most of this stuff across from the old guild, n'est-ce pas? That's cool, but you ought to make sure that stuff's not too out of date. When I applied for membership, I applied to be a Scout, but I was told that the Submissions Thread had rendered that position obsolete. You might wanna be careful about stuff like that.
This ought to be stickied, really. And I hope you don't mind that I added a little to the name.
Edit: Oh, wait, I can do that! Okay, this is now a sticky. X3 Of course, if anyone disagrees with that, they can change it back.

Yeah, I'm aware that this list may be a little out of date. I mainly just wanted to get the information over here, and we can change it as we like. However, I don't really know where we stands on things like Scouts, so I'm just gonna let it be for now.
