*goes to read anyways* wow dub bashers are brutal. Has any dub supporter ever said the Japanese sucks? I tend to only see "english sucks, go subs"... hmmm reeeeeeeal classy

I think we dub supporters are way more tolerant, classy and understanding than the dub bashers as we understand that anime is anime no matter what language it is in wink .

Sometimes I get the urge to turn the tables and make a thread saying that the Japanese dub sucks but I'm sure the uninformed would say stuff like "Japanese isn't dubbed" or outright say I'm racist. Of course, considering my relationship with some of the mods, I don't think I would be the right person to make a thread like that unless I had a huge amount of support.

Too bad it got chatterboxed, it was a breath of freash air to the countless I hate dub threads.

I'm not sure if this should be counted but I defended a fan that put some of his "Top ten anime" as Jacky chan Adventures and Sonic X.
Poor kid. emo
Though its already binned because I reported it as a heavly repeated thread at the same time. neutral

And Sonic X while not a good show at least it's an anime.

I don't know if dub fans are necessarily nicer than sub fans, but we do seem to come off that way, don't we? I'm sure there are some dub fans that are elitist, but either they're fewer in number or just not as vocal.
A good number of the "dub sux" people tend to be younger, I notice. A lot of the sub fans that are older just let it pass. I think it has something to do with maturity, and also being new to the fandom. They probably want to prove that they are a good fan, and because they see so many people bash dubs they feel they have to do the same thing in order to be accepted by the people around them.
Either way, it's no excuse to spam a topic about how much you hate dubs when someone is trying to start a happy discussion. I wish that people could just live and let live, but such is the internet.
What I don't understand is why the mods seem to Chatterbox so many threads that don't seem to be overly repeated to me. I feel like every time I post in the AMC (which is rare), the topic gets sent to the box. What the heck is allowed to actually stay?

As far as I know, the AMC of Gaia is way to nit-picky with the topics they have. Mind keep on getting remove for not a having a sufficient discussion. Which I don't get what makes a topic sufficient.
