gotta_just_be_myself I've been zutara since the fortune teller episode. Aunt Wu told katara that she would marry a powerful bender and I was like "zuko's a powerful bender! Katara's going to marry zuko I know it!!!" My brother just looked at me like I had grown a second head.

one of my bestfriends told me about Avatar, so i started watching it so i wouldn't know what she was talking about. lol. She's a super Zutarian. So i pretty much instantly got hooked and i thought that Zuko and Katara look so great together..and how Aang and Katara...didn't.

Katara's going to marry zuko I know it!!!" My brother just looked at me like I had grown a second head. That episode strengthened my Zutara fangirliness! I never thought that Aang was all that powerful a bender. I mean clearly he was the most powerful Airbender (DUR, Ladrona!) but for him to be the Avatar, I thought he was one of the weakest benders on the show.

i was introduced to zutara via the internets at some point while marathoning the first 2 seasons, since i had just started watching the show maybe a month before the S2 finale. but it wasn't until the S2 finale that i really started to SHIP zutara. zuko was heading towards the good side, he was locked in that cave with katara, they had the whole yin-yang thing and both lost their mothers and she was gonna heal his scar and all... and then it all went to pot. i was very angry. XD

i found out about zutara through a kataag lover...one of my good friends believes that anything that doesn't go by the lines of the original story is wrong..
so one day we were talking about the show where zuko was all like, "i'll save you from the pirates..." and i mentioned that zuko and katara should get together and she mentioned that i "swinged towards zutara" and that it was seriously wrong...and that evening i looked it up and was like yes this is for me!
Thats how i learned about zutara... heart

I never thought that Aang was all that powerful a bender. I mean clearly he was the most powerful Airbender (DUR, Ladrona!) but for him to be the Avatar, I thought he was one of the weakest benders on the show. Agree. I felt that Aang was strong, but he wasn't amazing or anything. He was more of a defensive fighter rather then an offensive fighter. I think that, especially being the Avatar, that he needed alot of work. ._.

I was introduced to Zutara and the world of Avatar because my brother was watching it in the living room. It was the season one finale with koizilla and I was hooked since then, but during the fight between Zuko and Katara the cable was turned off by the storm that was going on at the time.
My little brother and I were like "NOOOOOOO~" and he and I decided to watch the show from the first episode online since we still had the internet. We stayed up all night watching the entire season and that was when I became a Zutara fan.
When Zuko grabbed gran-gran, while looking at Katara, I was like "Someone's got a crush." Then the waterbending scrolls came around and I was like "that's hot." From there the ship just grew on me more and more as the presense of kataang came to be. Kataang just weirded me out because when I saw them I saw how I interacted with my brother and friends. It was gross and all I could do to keep from shouting at the television about how Katara and Zuko should be together and Aang should learn the difference between the types of love was bite my lip since my brother didn't care about shippings.
Yeah, after my first Avatar filled weekend I was hooked on Zutara, unfortunately all my friends didn't share my sentiments. Darn kataangers, they're so mean...
Then came the fanfiction...hoo boy, happy times.
By the time season 3 came on, I was like "Zutara can actually happen." They had amazing chemistry, they had the attracting opposites and they had the similarities that would make the relationship stick... Then it was over. Can you imagine my shock when Katara kissed Aang at the end?
Plus my mean kataang friends kept rubbing it in my face too...

I just don't understand their reasonings behind the ship since I have plenty of really close guy best friends that I treat just like Katara does Aang and the thought of dating them freaks me out (even if some of them like me in 'that' way). But with that being said, I respect all ships, even if I don't understand them. Especially since I can relate to Katara and have a similar mindset than she does, so imagine my shock when she chose Aang... She just doesn't seem the type, as shown by her character and personality, to want to be her boyfriend's mother. That'd just lead to a funky Oedipus complex. But oh well, Bryke didn't really think about that. But yeah, I just love Avatar and Zutara, even now after it's all over. P.S: Awesomeness is already in your posession wink

I first fell in love with Zutara the second episode I believe .. it just clicked .. he looked at her .. then 'The Waterbending scroll' "I'll save you from the pirates" and 'Bato of the Watertribe'.. he never let her fall .. all those moments .. they fit they have the chemistry .. he jumped in front of lightning for her .. and saved her other times .. Katara saved him from falling ...Zutara may not be cannon but I love it regardless

Katara saved him from falling ...Zutara may not be cannon but I love it regardless Some ships are just too sexy to be canon in a Nick show I guess. XD But I agree. The Waterbending Scroll is one of those squeal worthy episodes when Katara's tied to the tree. And the lightning part on the finale was just amazing. Why they didn't end up together after that is beyond me. >.>

~~ How did I discover Zutara?
....Through my INCREDIBLY sick and perverted mind. .-.
I swear, the first time I saw the Waterbending Scroll episode, I seriously thought Zuko was going to rape her or something. I wasn't even familair with that "stuff" and I saw it... .-.
Whenever I watch the episode with someone, I now feel really awkward until I realize nobody else sees it >n>
But, from then on I saw other cute Zutara scenes, and I thought about how they'd be AWESOME together. Like Cyra said, they're perfect. They never let the other fall, and when he jumped infront of the lightning...WHY ON EARTH WOULD ZUKO SACRIFICE HIMSELF FOR ANYTHING BUT LOVE? FRIENDSHIP MY *BEEP* >8C
I'm going to go out and say it, though....If Zutara didn't have so many cute, perfect connections, Maiko and Jetara would be my next choices for sure... sweatdrop ~~

believe it or , Jetara is actually one of my strongest arguements disproving Kataang out of the entire thing. Just for that I love the pairing! With that being said, Jetara was a far far far very far second choice for a favorite pairing
