"Hm..that little anklet of yours is better than a tracking device." Crescentia teased Sera, gently pulling one of her curls to watch it spring back into place. She'll probably never get enough of that. The little blonde giggled and clapped her hands, picking up a piece of money that had strayed away from the gypsy when she dumped out her special money holder to count her earnings. What's that? Seduire blinked and flapped his wings a little, pecking at the thing in his girl's hand. It was hard! Cool.
The trio was sitting under a shady tree in the middle of the park on a big blanket the gypsy had set out so they didn't get dirty. Every so often Sera would crawl away to get close to a squirrel, but Seduire would freak out and force Crescentia to pull her back. You'd think a crane, no matter how little, would be a formidable foe to a squirrel.

"So, cookie," Eriol said to Viviana, "you really like parks, hm?"
It was their third visit to a park that week, and Eriol decided that for once, they'd go a little further away. Someplace nice and spacious, with lots of grass for Viviana to practice walking on, maybe a fountain for Outcry to splash in, and, if they were lucky, a few cute girls. After all, he had to be amused as well.
While walking, he heard a jingle and turned his head in passing. Then, recognizing the people, he paused. Wasn't that one of the doomed souls at the Library? And one of the prettier ones. Smoothing his hair back, Eriol swung Viviana into his other arm and started for the tree.
"Haven't we met somewhere b'fore, miss?"
Hands clinging to Eriol's shirt as he bent over slightly, Viviana squinted. She didn't especially recognize any of the people, but she extended a hand in a tentative wave nonetheless. Outcry bobbed next to her shoulder, but made no sign that he even noticed the presence of others.

Ooh! She made a nice profit so far! She'd let Sera keep the coin she'd scoffed...sneaky little devil. As long as it kept her close and quiet and out of trouble! Crescentia was in the middle of putting the money back into her coin purse when she heard a voice and looked up, startled. She was tired of hearing voices come out of nowhere.
Oh, it was just that guy who'd tried to keep her from reading in that library last night. The gypsy smiled. "Is that an attempt at a pick up line or do you really not remember me after only twenty-four hours?" She teased, glancing at the flying whale and the little girl waving to her.
Seraphine was more than happy to meet new people! She and Seduire put their coin down on the blanket to wave up at the bigger girl the way she was waving to them...well, Seduire's wave was kind of awkward. It's hard to wave to someone when you have wings and not arms.

Well, at least she remembered him. And she wasn't screaming. That had to be a good sign. When Eriol had been stuck in the Library, he'd been shouting bloody murder at the idiot who expected him to take a kid home. Thinking back, maybe the limey one wasn't as to blame as he'd originally thought. But then again, maybe not.
"Well, y'really can't tell, this bein' Gaia an' all. Y'know?" Stranger things had happened. Either way, Eriol was satisfied that she remembered him, and took that as an invitation to sit on the grass, setting Viviana down next to him.
As soon as Viviana's feet touched the ground she stumbled forwards, almost tipping over. Fortunately, Outcry was there, and she knocked into him instead. The two bobbed unsteadily for several moments before Eriol set them both right, at which point she finally felt secure enough to wave again. "Haaaa."

Why would she be screaming? It's not like she hated kids. Crescentia chuckled and nodded in agreement to his statement. "Getting trapped in that house and meeting a..." What was that word? "Kinky old dance teacher with a whip? That's officially the strangest thing to happen to me." She scooted over to give her new companions room on the blanket, tossing her coin purse to her other side and leaning back against the tree. "I'm Crescentia, by the way." She said, offering a hand. "The little girl you so kindly tried to keep me from is Seraphine and then that's Seduire...and while I remember your faces your names escape me." The gypsy admitted with a sheepish smile. The scene before her between the whale and the little girl cheered her up though.
Seraphine was entertained as well. The blonde had reached out in a feeble attempt to catch the girl falling forward. Viviana was bigger than her! She'd never be able to support her weight right now! Seduire made himself comfortable sitting near Seraphine and the floating...uh...other thing. He didn't know what it was. A strange sound was coming out of the girl's mouth though, Sera tilted her head to the side. "Haaa.."
"She's saying hi, sweetie." Crescentia smiled. Sera blinked...oh! That's what Haaa meant. Awesome! She smiled and waved again, scooting closer to the girl she was now dubbing her new friend.

Kinky old dance teacher? That was definitely bizarre, but not Eriol's idea of frightening. Maybe the demonic house went easy on girls. But that didn't make sense, since Raya had said something about a train wreck. In that case, maybe it was just getting soft. Either way, she seemed happy, and that was what was important in the long run. That, and her not trying to blame him for everything.
"It's a real pleasure ta meetcha properly then, Crescentia. And Seraphine and Seduire," he added, completely serious. "We never did get to say much last night, so don' worry about it. I'm Eriol, and this's Viviana. An Outcry." The last time he'd neglected to introduce the whale, he'd gotten a faceful of water blown at him, but this time, he'd learned from the mistake.
Tilting her head up at Crescentia, Viviana nodded. Yes, that was what she meant. Or rather, what she had said. Puzzling over this, Viviana loosened her grip on Outcry and wobbled again. This time, before she could fall on her face, she swayed in place and sat down abruptly. Startling, but not painful.
Outcry, in the meantime, nosed closer to Seraphine and Seduire, examining them with beady eyes. Another bird. Yay.
Shhh, Viviana chided him mentally. She didn't want to worry about what he was thinking, not when there were new people again.

Was it her imagination or was Crescentia meeting a lot of men lately? "And it's a pleasure to properly meet you too." If the gypsy heard the train wreck story she'd probably prefer that over what her group had to go through; at least a train wreck could happen in reality.
"So what brings you all the way out here? Just the lovely view?" She meant the nature in the park for once and not herself.
Hopefully her new friend's method of sitting didn't hurt her at all, but since she seemed to be fine it must not have. It certainly made Sera jump though! She was petting Seduire's feathers now, watching the whale with interest. That was cool! Seduire, however, was not as calm as everyone else. His eyes seemed to be a bit wider than normal and his feathers were ruffled. Had he...just heard a voice in his head?! I...I just...heard a voice. Seraphine stared at Seduire looking confused. Then he started flapping his wings. Ahhh! I'm hearing voices! The child gasped and let go of her daemon, scooting closer to her surprised guardian.
Seeeed, calm dooown. Sera mentally whined, reaching out to try and pat the fightened crane's head.

"Mmm, the scenery's sure nice," Eriol agreed, meaning both the park and his company. "But actually, Vivi likes bein' outside. An' since she's jus learnin' t'walk, I figured it'd be a good idea t'do it on somethin' soft, like grass. That way, even if me'r Outcry can't catch her, she won' get hurt too bad."
Look what you did. Viviana hadn't meant to upset the new girl, especially since she looked smaller and younger. In a house where she was the youngest, that was a non-issue, but now, it was something Viviana had to try to deal with. Of course, a grumpy daemon wouldn't help matters.
Waving his tailfin in a sort of shrug, Outcry whistled. Don't like birds. This too, was directed at the nervous crane as much as at Viviana, and it was clear that he was on the verge of blowing water if he was pushed. First the pompous one, now this nut. No wonder he didn't like the flighty creatures.
Recognizing the signs of a whale about to blow, Eriol grabbed Outcry by the tail and pulled him back a bit. "Sorry," he murmured, wiping his now wet hand on his jeans. "He don' always play well with others."

The warmer weather had finally hit Gaia and Hikari was going to take advantage of such beautiful conditions to attempt and get a little color in her newest daughter. The child was pale. Very pale, making a stark contrast between her companions midnight scales. It was almost as if she had been living in a cave and just barely able to avoid growing assorted types of fungus on her.
"Muhna!" The girl exclaimed as she raised her arms towards her guardian. Hikari smiled down at the babe, mindful to watch where her fingers went, lest she wanted to be bitten by sure and sharp teeth, and picked the child up. Said owner of needle teeth managed to latch onto the girl's skirt and scurry to her head, causing quite a scare for Hikari.
"Pisen!" Sable cried as she waved her hands in attempts to move the dragon from it's seat atop her gold and orange locks. But the dragon held fast, curling up and flicking his tongue in victory.
"Now, now, beanbag." Hikari muttered as she dislodged the dragon and placed him on her shoulder. She earned a glare from Sable for the name and a n** on the ear from Prison. It had been an on going battle of the forces for Hikari to use the right and proper name, but she refused. There was little pleasure in being polite to a heathenish being.
"Muhna!" Sable cried again, seemingly forgetting her plight as she found other children with familiars. A common sight now a days, neh?
"Might as well introduce ourselves, huh?" Hikari sighed and took a left towards the collection of, who she thought, PWSEs or People With Similar Experiences, as she liked to label them.

"Is she really?" Crescentia clapped her hands under her chin, smiling brightly. Aww! It'd been so long since she'd seen a little one take its first steps! "That's so sweet!" She giggled and looked down at the children again to see if Seduire had calmed down at all.
While it wasn't much Seduire had at least stopped flapping around like he had rabies. Seraphine was petting at his feathers to try and flatten them again since they were still making him look puffy. There's nothing bad about birds! Seduire protested. He thought he was just talking to the voice, he didn't realize it was the whale yet. Crescentia blinked, watching Eriol pull the whale away. "Oh, I see. It didn't even look like they did anything, they were just sitting there..."
"..Buh?" Sera suddenly pointed past the adults at the trio approaching them. Seduire scooted closer to lay his neck across Sera's lap, watching the woman walk up with a child in her arms and a strange thing on the child's head. The gypsy smiled and waved a few fingers in greeting, always the courteous one.

"Hi...I couldn't help but notice the little ones with similar conditions to mine." Hikari muttered, a blush rising across her nose. She waved back to the other wards, a worried brow plastered on her face. Cause being she thought that she was interrupting something. Sable shifted in her arms and noted the other blond girl sitting next to her daemon.
"h'Ayyyye!" Sable gurgled and waved at the girl before noticing another fee dee in the area. This one she connected to Elias somehow. Maybe it was the dark hair and tanned skin? But Elias wasn't all that tan. She gave up pondering and smiled at Viviana and Outcry before flapping her wrist at them in a wave.
Hikari pulled Sable back closer to her form in attempts to keep the child from falling to the ground.
"I'm sorry, she really wanted to come over and..." Hikari shifted uneasily on her toes, letting her sentence trail off.
-You bad cushion, Sae.- Prison jumbled and almost fell from his perch, but with a flap of his wings he managed to pull himself back onto the girl. -Who you?- he inquired the two other daemons, watching them carfully with his beady red eyes.

Annoyed, Outcry waved his tail, and ended up smacking Eriol's hand with it. This wasn't entirely an accident. All the same, he kept his distance from the other daemon. Flighty pest.
Viviana pouted and leaned against Outcry, letting the water in his bubble wash over her. Be nice.
I am, Outcry retorted. At least he hadn't said anything mean, just truthful. And he hadn't sprayed anyone. Yet.
"The las' time 'e looked like that, water got all over a library. Ya start recognizin' the signs, or ya end up gettin' wet." Or, in those rare, bad cases, both. Keeping an extra close eye on the daemon, Eriol didn't notice the newcomers until they were already there. When he did, however, he grinned. Two gorgeous girls in one day? It was almost too good to be true!
Standing up, Eriol extended his hand. "Now, I know I'd remember meetin' a lovely lady like yerself. Name's Eriol, and you are?"
There was another girl! Smiling, Viviana waved, but Outcry only let out a puff of air. Another bird. Great.

"Conditions?" She'd never really thought of Sera as having a 'condition.' She was just a cute little girl who had a crane. Seraphine grinned and waved even bigger to the other girl walking up with her moth. Yay! More company!
"Haaa!" She giggled, scooting over to make room for their new friends to sit. Guess Sera's one of those girls who dubs everyone she sees as a friend. Seduire moved with his girl without lifting his head, although he was watching the three walking up. Another bird? That one didn't look like him though...it couldn't have been a bird. I'm Seduire.
Crescentia giggled and eyed Eriol when he introduced himself. "You're quite the flatterer." She teased before looking back up to the other woman. "And I'm Crescentia. It's a pleasure to meet you."

"Oh! I mean no harm, I just meant... Adorable child, strange animal counterpart and a very frightening trip to a place with books. I'm making no sense." Hikari shook her head before smiling sweetly. " Hi, I'm Hikari. You don't mind do you?" The guardian asked as she set Sable down next to the other child.
Sable grinned at the other girl, now in closer proximity. Her dark eyes seemed to deepen with interest of a new friend. And one with the same color hair and it was curly too! Sable regarded her own hair for a second. It was not curly, well not very, not like the girl. It had loose curlies while the other girl had tight curlies that were pulled back.
"Sae!" She announced pointing to herself and then she pointed to Sera and quirked her head.
Prison, who had since coiled around her arm turned and glared at Seduire. -Prison- the response was curt, short and vaguely aggravated. He flapped his leathery wings for good measure, his scales glistening in the light.
