Awakened Memories My Owner Fic CONTAINS SPOILER shounen-ai warning (Damien x Laxis, Damien x Zsolt, Zsolt x Laxis)
My Owner @ Ray Kitsune & Hippori Fan fiction by D e l i c a t e Comment From ContestI'm DA CRAZY MY OWNER FANGIRL! >D Awakened Memories Chapter 1: Laxis’ Pain ..........The sun had already disappeared long ago. The sky had darkened to a silky ebony color. It was dotted with small, diamond-like stars. They gave a twinkle or two if you stared at them long enough and right next to them, nestled an even bigger sight, the moon. It was bright and full, mimicking the sun. Yet the rays it gave off were not golden and warm, but rather cold and eerie. This mysterious, pale light of the moon peeked in through the window of a particular room and upon a sleeping figure coiled up comfortably amongst sheets and pillows of his bed. This figure was illuminated by the moon, from the very bottoms of his canine feet, up to his furry ears, which would twitch every now and then. His slender torso would move up and down deeply. All of these were signs indicating that he was lost in his own world of dreams. Though, this peaceful sight was not the only one witnessed by the moon’s curious eye. For the door to the room had been slightly ajar, leaving just enough space for a pair of creepy, crimson orbs to pierce their gaze into the room and upon the lying figure of Laxis.
..........Slowly the door would creak open. And it made a loud ‘moaning’ sound too, due to the untended hinges. The figure that started to come through there quickly stopped in his tracks and glared viciously at the door. Then with an even more cautious gaze, glanced at Laxis once more, who was undisturbed by the noise. With a satisfied smile, gracefully the form wandered into the room, his long raven hair flowing behind him. Carefully, ever so carefully, did he take a seat next to Laxis. Slender digits extended outwards, the long, talon-like black nails upon each digit would stroke the chestnut locks of Laxis. A few times. This made Laxis groan gently, before turning over, now completely facing the stranger whom sat upon his bed. Slowly, the moon’s light would shift, revealing the identity of our intruder. The pale features, the unique marks etched underneath his fiery crimson eyes, all made it quite clear who our man of mystery was. None other than Damien. As to why he decided to stalk into Laxis’ room in the middle of the night has yet to become apparent. Damien resumed his petting actions. His caresses would slide down along Laxis’ tranquil face. A sight he was not pleased to see. Maybe that was the reason. Seeing this face always happy and carefree made him sick. Even more so, this very face won the attention and affection of Zsolt all the time. Frowning deeply, one of Damien’s sharp, black nails dug harshly against the flesh of Laxis’ face. Enough to leave a bit of a mark. All the while he did this, a sort of an enchantment spell was casted. He was after all, a powerful wizard. In his mind, one of the best. Why not put his skills to use and have a little torturous fun? And it worked like a charm. “Have pleasant dreams…”, Damien’s wicked voice uttered and he watched closely to see Laxis’ reaction.
..........Small feet pitter pattered on the ground and little hands carried a basket of wild berries. A child’s breath could be heard. His breath was heavy, he seemed anxious and excited. He was coming up, when two familiar faces would be there to greet him.
..........“Ah, Laxis dear! Where have you been? We’ve been so worried!”
..........The child, with large ears and a broad smile held out his prize. “I brought us all berries!”
..........The woman would smile warmly and gently pat this child upon the head. “How thoughtful of you, go show your father, he will be very proud of you, Laxis.”
..........Nodding rapidly, the childish Laxis would rush over towards another form. A more masculine one. Once again, greeted with a warm smile, the deep voice of the man spoke, “Laxis, there you are. Didn’t I tell you not to wander so far away? Your mother and I fret when we don’t know where you are.”
..........]The young Laxis would giggle, “Sorry daddy, I will be careful from now on", he would answer, acknowledging his father's concerns. Only then did Laxis whip out the basket of berries and he proudly showed it to his father, “Look what I brought for us!” the father’s smile would widen and parted to say, “Wow! Well done son!”, a large hand would reach out and ruffle Laxis’ chestnut hair. “Let’s all go eat them together!” Laxis cooed to his father who nodded in agreement.
..........And just when all seemed so right and familiar…the scene turned gruesome.
..........Instead of holding the strong hand of his father, there was now a bloody hand. The lovely, welcoming expression of his mother was no more, but rather, replaced with a stoic, lifeless corpse, whose face was twisted in fear and gore.
..........In the middle of it all, a small Laxis, screaming out loudly, calling for his mother and father. Only to realize that the inevitable had happened. He was alone.
..........All alone.
..........Damien had witnessed all the expressions upon Laxis’ face, as Laxis dreamt of his most horrid memory. First when Laxis had a smiling face from remembering his parents to how it completely transformed into horror upon once again seeing the death of his loved ones. Damien wanted to laugh. Laugh so hard. This was all too amusing. And now to see Laxis curled up in a ball, shivering and whimpering was all too delicious.
..........Standing up, a sadistic grin sprawled over his lips, he would exit the room, feeling satisfied about his work. He wondered what other victim he could experiment on. And that’s when he thought of the only name that was ever on his mind. Zsolt. With a soft cackle, he made his way to where Zsolt might be slumbering… Awakened Memories Chapter 2: Zsolt’s Heartbreak ..........Here, we left off, a ruthless Damien who had been picking upon our poor Laxis through the tactic of nightmares. Laxis, who still was shaking uncontrollably and dreamt of those ghastly images of his dead parents. All the while, Damien was just about to leave, wanting to find another prey to torture. That prey was named, Zsolt. However, just before Damien stepped out of the room, something caught his crimson gaze…
..........… A foot and a familiar one at that. It was Zsolt’s. ‘So, they both sleep in the same room’, Damien thought to himself, slightly irritated at the thought. Nonetheless, it was convenient as it saved him the trouble of having to hunt down Zsolt and risk the chance of waking him or Laxis up. Strolling in the general direction of where Zsolt’s foot poked out in sight, Damien would soon come upon the visage of Zsolt’s body in whole. It was sprawled across the floor. For a moment, Damien just gawked at Zsolt’s lean and tall frame. What a delectable sight. One that made Damien’s tongue glide over his lips a few times, as if he was some ravenous wolf about to pounce. Smirking, Damien stepped closer still to Zsolt and then knelt down next to his slumbering figure until their faces were within inches of one another. Zsolt was just a living memory himself. His scars, that patch over his eye. Just his face alone reminded Damien of when he first met this man a long time ago. Extending a palm, his long digits would smooth their touch over the patch upon Zsolt’s eye. Then those very fingers would glide over the scar that slashed itself across his face. ‘Oh, what fond memories indeed’, Damien thought to himself, coming up with the perfect memory for Zsolt to remember. Leaning down, Damien’s lips brushed across Zsolt’s jaw line, up along his throat and finally to his earlobe, where he then would sink his teeth into the tender skin there. A harsh bite. Enough that made Zsolt wince in his sleep. This activated the same spell that he had casted upon Laxis to initiate that horrible nightmare of his parents. And now, Zsolt will have the same effect. Sitting up, his grin never disappearing from his lips and his eyes half-lidded with contentment, Damien observed as Zsolt went spiraling down into turmoil in his dream world.
..........There was a fragrance in the air. A strong and aromatic one. That of flowers. He would open his eyes, both of them and he would be greeted with the beautiful sight of a field, filled endlessly with a variety of flowers and plants. Amongst this field, the most beautiful blossom laid nestled. Her hair would flow with the wind. Her pale features would glow in the sun and her sapphire eyes were kind, just like her expression. Her rosy, fullen lips would part and her honey-like voice pierced his ears, as she murmured sweetly to him, “I picked these just for you, Zsolt.” And she would smile, an exquisite smile.
..........The younger Zsolt would be taken aback by such an affectionate action. His cheeks slightly tinged with red and he was at a loss for words. He was still getting use to this. Being in love. But nonetheless, he would smile some, his usually hard features turning soft and his voice gained the courage to speak, “Thank you, Philena.”
..........Back in reality, Damien had been observing. Like some scientist with a guinea pig. He knew his enchantment was working just by the serene appearance of Zsolt’s face. Moving on top of Zsolt, straddling his sleeping body. Both of his slender hands reached out to cradle Zsolt’s face. Leaning down, his lips descended upon Zsolt’s in a feather-like kiss. As he left just enough space where he could whisper, “Suffer…”, and once again, the spell he charmed Zsolt with, activated.
..........The peaceful scene of our couple would fade. No longer did the younger Zsolt see the lovely face of his past lover. But now it was darkness. Voices were all around. Accusing him of treachery.
..........“Guilty.” ..........“Guilty.” ..........“GUILTY!”
..........“You killed him. YOUR OWN BEST FRIEND! Be punished. Be punished!”
..........These voices kept saying. Repeatedly. Zsolt seemed at a loss. But when he looked down, he saw his bloodied hands and then the image of his best friend, soiled in crimson liquid. Blood.
..........And then, laughter. No, more like a cackle. Zsolt seemed to recognize this evil. When he turned, he saw the visage of Damien. Just laughing and glowering down at him with pity. This enraged Zsolt beyond any judgment. “YOU DID THIS!” Zsolt screamed. And without a second thought, he rushed towards this image of Damien. Head on. But before Damien could even run or dodge, Zsolt’s limb had gone straight through his torso. Right to where the heart would be.
..........But he was fooled.
..........For the illusion of Damien faded away and slowly another familiar face was revealed. That beautiful blossom that caught his heart. Philena. Whose heart he had now pierced. Literally. The younger Zsolt would just freeze in place. Unable to move, or to truly realize what he had done. Slowly Philena would fall limp. She was gone…
..........“NO!”, Zsolt screamed out in his sleep. Tears rushing down his one good eye. Damien was having the time of his life. This scene of absolute torture was pure, sinful pleasure. And he was indulging in every moment of it. His crimson eyes of his just watched intensely as Zsolt’s face twisted in sadness. But the spell wasn’t done yet…
..........The younger Zsolt held the now idle Philena in his arms. And he was hunched over her form, crying and mourning for her loss. He had murdered her. Slain his own love with his bare hands. When he lifted his head to look at her, she was no longer there. Instead it was another face. A younger one. With chestnut hair, large ears, and a sadden expression. His paw reached out to Zsolt, and he seemed to whisper, “W..why…?”, in a choked voice. Before he too, fell limp in Zsolt’s arms.
..........It was Laxis.
..........Once again, Zsolt screamed in his sleep. “LAXIS!” So disturbed by this image, that the will power of Zsolt had overcome the enchantment of Damien’s and suddenly Zsolt awakened. Sitting right up, eyes wide with terror, only to be greeted with the very face that brought him such torture, Damien. He had a smug smile upon his lips and he whispered, “Did you sleep well…?”, his question was followed with that manic laughter. The laughter that Zsolt hated so much. Awakened Memories Chapter 3: Together
..........Zsolt still felt like he was in the dream and time had stood still. For he was staring right into the delicate features of a man he had all but came to hate. Those fiery eyes of red and that sadistic smile, that seemed to mock him oh so well. And that voice, it burned his ears when Damien asked the question, “Did you sleep well…?” Only when Damien suddenly straddled the broad figure of Zsolt, did Zsolt spring out of his disbelief and start to react. “W…w…”, first Zsolt stuttered, before he felt the weight of Damien upon him and when Damien leaned in close, felt his warm breath brush against his cheek. This brought him to his senses completely, not to mention, his timid voice was no more. Instead, it was more of a booming, commanding one, “What are you doing here?!” he growled out at Damien, who had an amused expression on his face and looked down upon Zsolt. At first, Damien said nothing. He wanted to ‘rouse that anger of Zsolt’s, since he knew it didn’t take much to do so. When Damien didn’t answer, Zsolt bared his canines and went to move his arms, but found they were pinned. Not by Damien’s long legs, but by an unseen force. He tried his legs. They didn’t even budge. Upon seeing Zsolt’s struggle, Damien couldn’t help but just laugh. Laugh whole heartedly, as he was enjoying the sight before him. To see Zsolt so helpless, yet with that expression of being defiant upon his face was all too delicious.
..........Only when Zsolt found it fruitless to try and escape, did he just allow his head to fall back. But he didn’t give up, rather he just glared up at Damien and once again, in a demanding voice, “Release me!” Damien just smiled, his elegant hand reaching down to stroke the angrily twisted features of Zsolt and came to rest his index finger over Zsolt’s lips, as he finally parted his own to reply, “Shh. You don’t want to wake up your companion over there. He’s having such a good night’s sleep.” Damien’s crimson eyes glanced upwards, ushering to the left of Zsolt on top of the bed. Zsolt could only follow with his eyes. But his sensitive ears could pick up the distressing pitches of Laxis. From his cries to his depressing chanting of “I’m all alone…” This angered Zsolt profusely. So much so, that his eyes came ablaze with life. Almost like an invisible fire had lit up in his eyes. His lips curled into a deep frown and he gritted his teeth. His muscles bulged and his strength started to return to him. Damien was all too delighted. He found Zsolt’s weak point. The very one that brought out this rage he had not seen in so long. For the last time he saw this rage was when Philena had died.
..........‘So, that little pup is his weakness…” Damien cooed to himself mentally, as he looked from Zsolt to Laxis and back to Zsolt again, who was still enraged. He wondered just how far Zsolt was willing to go for Laxis. Stroking Zsolt’s cheek again, before he leaned down and catching Zsolt off guard, suddenly kissed him. Both of their lips were forcefully meshed together in a rather deep kiss. Zsolt’s eyes were wide with both surprise and horror. Only when Damien pulled away, did Zsolt make a disgusted face. “Aw, why the face? Afterall, it seems you like boys now.” He glanced back to Laxis, his grin broadening, “a replacement for Philena perhaps?” He said ever so diligently. Zsolt could only growl and be angry. Though, he did make an amazing effort of struggling against Damien’s magical bonds as Zsolt managed to move his arms at least. But all Damien had to do was wave his hand and his supernatural hold on Zsolt became stronger, pinning Zsolt back to the floor. This rage wasn’t enough. He was only seeing just the surface of it. Damien really wanted to see Zsolt become like a savage. Standing to his feet, Damien gracefully strutted over to the bed, only to slip onto it and disappear over the edge for a moment and out of Zsolt’s view. Only when he reappeared did he have the sleeping Laxis in his grasp, who still was shivering and whimpering from his nightmarish dreams. Grabbing Laxis by his chestnut hair, he pulled the younger boy’s head back, enough to where Zsolt could see Laxis tear streaked face and hear the murmuring of “I’m all alone…” from his lips.
..........Zsolt’s blood started to boil. The protective side of him started to kick in. His eyes would widen and he yelled out loud in a booming voice, “DON’T YOU DARE TOUCH HIM!” Now this is the result Damien was hoping for. But he wanted to see more. Damien calmly replied, “I wonder what other dreams our little companion’s imagination here can conjure up…”, with that, Damien turned Laxis’ head towards him, enough so Laxis’ large, fox-like ear could come close to his lips. Damien whispered into it. Something close to an enchantment. It seemed to have made the illusions that Laxis was seeing become even worse. As Laxis’ tears started to emerge in a more heavy flow…
..........Laxis remained huddled in a corner. A dark, dark corner. After seeing the death of his parents wasn’t traumatizing enough, another familiar figure entered the room. He was tall, had a tail, just like Laxis. He also had horns and red, flaming hair. But his most distinctive features was his eye patch and scar that slashed itself across his face. At first, Laxis seemed he would be relieved from his sadness. For he immediately held out his arms and whimpered, “Zsolt!” and tried to reach for the other man. But Zsolt only made am appalled look and said coldly, “I don’t like dogs, go away.” Zsolt only then started to walk away, leaving Laxis on his knees, still reaching out to him.
..........In reality, Laxis’ arms mimicked that in the dream, reaching out in thin air, while his lips uttered, “Zsolt…Zsolt…don’t leave me…!”
..........This was the last straw. The final line that Damien had crossed. Zsolt had snapped. It was shown all over. From his crazed looking eyes to the crease of his deep frown. Even more so to his clutching fists, no longer did Zsolt have any judgment. All he wanted to do was to protect Laxis from the evilness Damien ensued on him. And with all his might, Zsolt had arched upwards, trying to pry himself free of Damien’s magical hold on him. And Damien could only gawk at all of this. He watched as Zsolt poured every ounce of his strength against the struggle against his magic, until finally the magic had been nullified. Zsolt was free and unleashed all of that untamed rage onto Damien. Suddenly, Damien would feel a strong grip around his neck and he was suddenly pressed harshly down against the bed. This made him loosen his grip from Laxis. Any normal person would of course be struggling. Gasping for air or fearing for their lives. Not Damien, he was actually turned on by Zsolt’s beastly behavior. He even had the gull to say in the strained voice, “H…ow I’ve missed this rage of yours…Zsolt” and he went to reach out to caress Zsolt’s face, but Zsolt just snarled at him like some rabid animal and tilted his head away from the unwanted touch. Even more so, Zsolt tightened his powerful grip upon Damien’s neck, to the point where Damien would no longer have any means to breathe and he was truly struggling. However, something stopped him.
..........It was a noise. It was a voice. It was Laxis. Laxis was in emotional pain. He needed someone now to ease him from Damien’s wrong doings. Suddenly, Zsolt’s rage started to fade away and slowly did he release Damien from his hold. Damien immediately rolled to the side, coughing loudly, his emerald hair veiling around him and covering his face. Zsolt immediately when to Laxis’ side, cradling him into his arms, he started to comfort Laxis. At first with soothing rubs and pets, he then tilted his head close enough, to where he could whisper sweet reassurances into Laxis’ ear. All the while, Damien had turned enough, to where his emerald hair had shifted to one side of his face, so one of his crimson eyes would peek out at the two. “It’s useless…” Damien called to Zsolt and grinned again, knowing all too well, his spell had to strong of a hold on Laxis for even Zsolt to break. But Zsolt ignored him and hung onto hope. Again and again, he called out to Laxis. Again and again, he said “I’m here, you’re not alone. I’m here, Laxis!” Soon enough, this voice started to seep into the recesses of Laxis’ mind.
..........The small, young visage of Laxis sitting in a corner, in the dark, by himself lifted his head upon hearing the familiar voice. At first, he was reluctant to reach out again in fear that he might be rejected. But the tone and the utter caring that the voice had was enough to convince him to try again. And he did…Laxis reached out his hand…and...
..........Zsolt had grabbed the extended hand. Once that happened, an amazing event occurred, Laxis slowly but surely started to open his eyes. “Laxis…” Zsolt whispered in both astonishment and relief and in return, Laxis had softly smiled to murmur, “Zsolt…” all the while, on the side, the forgotten Damien just scowled at what seemed to be a victory over him. This is not how it was suppose to turn out at all. Zsolt was suppose to be his, HIS! Pushing up to his feet, his neck obviously bruised from Zsolt’s cruel ministrations. Rubbing his throat idly, he hissed at the two very disappointed about the outcome of this all, “I’ll make sure next time…I will not be so easy…” with that said, Damien diminished into thin air. Zsolt turned to glare at him and even react, but before he could he was gone. Narrowing his eyes, Zsolt knew that he living a carefree life with friends and loved ones did not go without consequence. He now knew that he had to be more on guard or he would risk hurting those around him…again. Just like what happened with Laxis tonight. Glancing down at Laxis in his arms, he softly brushed away the pup’s tears and smiled, “Are you alright now…?” he murmured in a worried tone. Laxis just nodded, before replying, “As long as you’re here I am…” Now in each other’s arms, Laxis and Zsolt slowly went to sleep with one another and the sweetest dreams they had, because they were reassured that as long as they had each other, they could accomplish anything. Together.
The End
