So I'm 17 and I'm going to be a mommy soon. Very soon actualy and I want to know if there are any other moms who know what I should bring with me to the hospital when the time comes. I just want to be prepared ya know? I am keeping the baby just to let everyone know!

Generic checklist:
-Labor kit containing the items, such as massage oil, recommended in your childbirth classes
-Warm socks (to wear in the delivery room) -A nightgown for recovery (one that opens in front if you’re breast-feeding) -Clothing for the trip home -Cosmetics. You probably will be immortalized on film, so pack your comb and brush and your makeup kit. Maybe you’ll get around to using them on the big day, maybe you won’t. But you probably will want to spruce up before visitors arrive
-A toothbrush, toothpaste, and floss -Deodorant -Body lotion -A robe -A baby outfit -A receiving blanket -Extra diapers -Cans or bottles of infant formula if you intend to bottle-feed so your baby can start with the brand you prefer
-A baby car-chair in case you take your baby home by car.
From http://www.i-am-pregnant.com/birth/child-birth/hospital-packing.php
My son was 2 weeks before his duedate, So I didn't have anything packed. xd SO I grabbed things at random, like deodorant, a change of clothes, a few books, and a baby outfit.
Hospitals usually provide diapers, or formula. At least, mine did. But they won't usually let your baby come home without a carseat. Some hospitals let you rent them.
Also, I'd recommend bringing a camera.
A lot of hospitals want you to pre-register. To go in and fill out all the info, so when you're in labor, you don't have to deal with all the forms.

Definitely the brush/comb and some basic makeup. However, just do stuff like maybe basic foundation, lip GLOSS and mascara. People will hate you if you look fantastic after having a baby, LOL, but you don't want to look like s**t.
Socks, definitely. I wouldn't worry about the nightgown, because the hospital gown works just fine for nursing, and you won't be up and about much anyway, so it doesn't matter much. You can if you want to, though, obviously.
Bring some of your favorite maternity clothes to wear home. You're not going to shrink TOO much immediately, and your milk may come in before you leave the hospital, so you want to be comfortable. Bring a good nursing bra if you're nursing, and a sports bra if you're not.
Toothbrush, definitely. They'll give you one, but it's crappy and the bristles come out (this seems to be at EVERY hospital I've been to, LOL). And obviously deodorant.
Other than that, you really don't need much. Yeah, you'll be there for a day or so, but you'll be so tired and fascinated with your baby that you really won't have time for anything like a book.
Almost all hospitals provide endless diapers and formula (if you're using it) while you're in the hospital, and you can take home whatever packages you open while you're there.
You need an outfit for your baby, though, and if you want a cute blanket, that works too.
Now, BEFORE you have the baby, go have someone at the police station or fire station install the infant seat in the back of the car, and that's one less thing you have to worry about if you go into labor early.
And I second the camera!
Put all this stuff together in a bag by your front door, or maybe even in your car so you're all good to go, even in freak-out phase. smile

How in the world does one determine if someone is pregnant or not by looking on myspace? confused Unless she writes, "I like to fake being pregnant on Gaia," on myspace, I am at a loss for ideas here.

If you believe there are trolling issues with proof, why don't you contact Nikolita instead of hashing this out in public on the thread?

piercedpixie she is obviously lying to get attention from this guild You have no proof of that. So what she doesn't have things on her journal? You don't know her and therefore have no reason to make assumptions. You already said your bit, drop it.

Alot of people have myspace. so she probably doesnt want many people to know. its easier to figure out who you are on myspace than it is on here.

Unless there's proof, can we please just drop it? The thread's completely off topic.
Thank you.
