Louis turned to the Techie, eyes welling with tears. Already? But! But! He'd just gotten to talk to the lady....he was reading....he was...just, no!
Anne smiled to the techie, closing the file and tucking it under her arm. She nodded to them, "Thank you very much," and she turned to leave.
Louis slumped on the ground, looking defeated.

"Don't worry, you'll see her again. I'll make sure of it!" she cooed, patting the jumble of new notes on her clipboard. "Cheer up kiddo. How about we go swimming later?" She showed Anne-Stella to the door, then took Louis to by the hand and led him back to one of the communal playrooms.
