Yeah, I used to be much heavier into the classic scene. I was going to end up getting a 1955 Plymouth Savoy and turn it into a mild custom, shaved handles, bar grille, fender skirts, lowered, etc. But, my parents wouldn't go for a car that old. Settling for the Mustang.
Anyway, yeah, I take it you've heard of the H.A.M.B.?

Yes of course I have, I do a major amount of picture stealing for there. I only lurk though, I tend to post on the Ruffrodders and NSRA boards, I like the ruffrodder ethos "It's all about the build". I'm thinking about building a small based ford custom.

H.A.M.B. is a great place for true traditional if you ask me. I don't get on as often anymore though. Ever seen a hot-rod with a DeSoto Firedome V8?

I've never really singed up to the HAMB because I don't like some of the atitudes there, I still lurk it for tech and pictures, it's a damn good tool, and when I can contribute I guess I'll sing up. I've seen a few Firedome powered rods, There's a neat A on B rails hi boy over here running a Desoto, I'll try and find pictures.

Some of them are assholes, but, you find a-holes at any hot-rod forum you join, it's just part of joining one. At least, that's my viewpoint.

Maybe, I like ruffrodders, it's so much more un formal and down to earth, it seams the assholes tend to get rooted out.
