Everytime I see babies, I get all fuzzy feeling and cuddley. Granted I am a nanny so i see babies everyday. I love rocking them and singing to them. It is just unnerving how cute they are and that I don't have a natural defense to the cuteness.

i have no maternal urges what so ever, which i quite suprising really seeing as i'm a very typical Cancerian in every other way.
i'd rather have a dog than a child, ans as i get older, my determination to remain childless remains.
My Nan is disappointed that i wont be turning her into a GreatNan, but my Mum is quite happy about it.
i can see my sister turning her into a Granny at some point though..

Human babies have their cuteness factors, to be sure. More so as time goes on, I want one for myself, they're so cuddly and cute and everything's new and fascinating to them. ^.^
When it comes to animal babies though, all my life they've made me absolutely melt with adoration. I can't get enough of them, nearly any baby animal will put me in a state of euphoria, especially if I get to handle them or be near them etc. heart

I have to say that, as cute as babies are, I have no patience with children. I'd much rather have a litter of puppies than one baby. I'm planning on being the crazy eccentric aunt to my brother's kids blaugh

I have a baby myself. He's the cutest thing in the world, but to be honest, I'm not the maternal sort. I love Atticus dearly, and I do my best by him but I find I have to work very hard at it. To be honest, I'd rather be working somewhere, and Paul be home to feed, diaper, soothe, play, bathe, sing, hold baby.

WobinA For some reason I think cats are cuter than human babies....I'm a traitor I totally agree...LOL!! I love kittens... Though, in the past few years, I've really come to like the idea of having a kid someday. I think I have huge capabilities of maternal love... whee I'm only 19 though... sweatdrop

I'm only 17, but I adore babies. I think they are the cutest things in the world more so then animal babies. I don't really know why. I was gonna say because they do more then just sleep, poop and drool, but that's pretty much it in a nutshell lol. I mean as they grow older they play with toys, learn to talk and read and love you with a different love then an animal would. I want to have children, but only when I'm ready.

Only Sapphire and love you with a different love then an animal would. I have to disagree with that. My cats are my fur children, and I feel they love me just as much as a human child would. I guess it's just a matter of perspective.

I have both human babies and kitty babies. I do feel there are different types of love when it comes to animals and humans. Though my cat loves me and I know it she also would run away should I neglect her with her needs. A child will love their parents no matter what. I was sexually abused by my father when I was very young and though I hate him for the things he did I still love him.
As for maternal instict I completely understand. Though this is a long way of from the original post. I feel that too a lot!

I have to say, I've got the baby bug. I can hardly stand waiting to have kids any longer, though hubby and I are both wanting a baby we need to wait another year so he can get his career more established. He has to leave for a few months for school, and once he gets back he'll be qualified enough for a fair size raise at work. It's just illogical to have a baby before he leaves, he'd miss out on tons, not to mention you don't make money while you're in school, and after he gets back the finances should be just right for a baby. Gah, waiting is still so hard!
In the meantime, thank goodness for Penelope, my darling little 6month old kitten. Her nickname is 'substitute infant' when I feel like teasing her while we snuggle. xd I adore her, and she returns the sentiment, I think having both her and a baby won't mean anything other than we're all family. <3
