I'm sure some of you have seen the movie "Phat Girlz" with Mo'nique in it. I want to know people's opinion on the movie: Did it boost your confidence? Did it make you feel that you can be Big and Beautiful? Etc...

I saw the movie when it was in theaters, I laughed and thought it was cute... It mostly just reaffirmed what I thought, I guess it might have helped my self esteem a bit, for awhile.
I was happy that she made a movie like that, but unfortunately most people ignored it or scoffed at it, at least at my theater. There need to be more movies with bigger women to really make me feel better.

when i first saw it i thought i was such a sweet movie! There really needs to be more movies out there like that. I thought that movies was like a stepping stone for larger people being accepted out there in society. And like Mo'nique said "To all the people who think we have a weight problem, no baby, we ain't got a weight problem, you just got a problem with our weight."

I really liked the part where the guy told her she would never be a size six from a medical standpoint. He didn't say she could never be skinny, just her skinny isn't the same as everyone else's.
