In any major town, there'll be a "Public Office" NPC -- get close to them and click on 'em. Then it'll bring up a menu, it involves something like:
Dialogue
Bank
Guild Warehouse
Guild Ranking
Something along those lines. Anyways, select the bank. Then click and drag your items into the bank or vice versa. A note: you can only use the bank slots for the character you're on unless you have a bank-sharing item. Anyway, there's a reason the spaces are redded out.
I think that's an accurate enough overview of the bank system, it's not that complex.
