Okay I am not sure if this goes here, and I am really nervous because I don't know if something is wrong with me but: I started getting my period when I was about twelve years old. It never really came at the same time each month. Now I havent been getting it, I think I haven't got it in about 3-5 months. I also only have one ovary would that have something to do with it? because when I was born I was diagnosed with cerebral palsy which is a disorder usually caused by brain damage occurring at or before birth and marked by muscular impairment. Often accompanied by poor coordination, it sometimes involves speech and learning difficulties. I almost died like 6 times, and I had a whole in my intestine, then I got sick again and they removed one of my ovaries. I know since I only have one ovary it will be harder for me to have children when I am ready but will one ovary affect when I get my period? Please help

Well, um, I could definitely be wrong, but I highly doubt it affects your period. After all, the "blood" in your period is tissue. When your body prepares to get pregnant, it builds up the uterine lining. After a period of time, when no egg is fertilized and stuck to the side, it sheds all the lining.
So... considering you said you're missing an ovary, I don't think that's related to period problems. However, I'm definitely not a doctor.
I'd like to make some guesses, but considering how many factors you threw in, it could be a million things. The best thing to do is talk to your doctor.

Like Savina said, talk to your doctor. You are talking about serious medical issues, and we are not doctors. Your doctor would be able to answer all of your questions.

It could be a possibility because I know that when women ovulate their ovaries switch off; one month it's an egg from one side, the next month it's an egg from the other side or something like that. So, since you only have one, that ovary is probably working really hard and maybe it can't work so hard.. my theory not sure. but i agree, ask your doctor.
