Crazy question. Become like Tetsuo (like in the anime) and end up like he did, (while enjoying every bit of being so damn powerful)... or continue living as a normal person... in what was once neo-tokyo?

Tetsuo Shiima Crazy question. Neo: "Having powers would be awesome and all, but I think I'd rather remain a normal person. My reason being that Tetsuo went through alot of physical pain and emotional trauma. I just don't think I could handle all of that..."

Yes, but he didn't KNOW he was gonna mutate into some horrible, cancerous thing and have withering brain problems, did he? That would've affected Tetsuo's choice in the matter. He was a introverted, bitter little thing with a inferiority complex... along comes this massive power that he discovers. Kaneda has no such powers! Kaneda can't explode people or move things with his mind.
Heck, he had the power to change the world. Went mad with power, indulged in fleshy delights (in the manga, anyways), but for the first time in his life he had authority.
Massive character flaws, he had. I think in literary terms, it'd be like a hamartia, I forget how it's spelled. A trait a person has in excess, and (in tragedies) leads to their ultimate downfall. So in a way, everything Tetsuo did he was doomed, or destined to do, because of his personality.
Thus, the question is not what path you'd take if you already knew the outcome, but rather, which way your personality would lead you.
...Me, I'd probably be too cowardly and lazy to ever consider taking on a role of emmense power, and just use the pyschicfullness to do stuff like teleport to school and read select people's minds.

More power equals more problems and trauma...the more powerful a perosn becomes the more people will dispise that perosn out of jealousy or trying to gain what you have succeeded at...id rather stay a normal human...plus living to die such a painful and sorrow filled death just isnt worth it...going silently and fulfilled with life is a better way to go...

If I had not known what would happen to Neo-Tokyo and Tetsuo I would have taken the power.. eek Yay for power~!! xD I don't feel like explaining why I would take the power, at the moment..
