Hello and welcome to the thread! This is a place to both organize and refine my quest and hope to recieve both criticism and encouragement. Hopefully, I'll eventually get all my thoughts in order over this (oh, like that'll happen) but until then, this place will probably always be in some form of construction. So....yes, this place will probably never be finished.
And...Well, I must admit I'm a bit new to this thread. I've lurked for a while before, but most threads intimidate me at first. Yes I know that it's....pretty sad. Bear with me and my shyness. <3
I'd love thoughts and criticism on my ideas so just post and tell me what you think, if you like. Thank you!

In European folklore, a dragon is a serpentine legendary creature. The Latin word draco, as in the constellation Draco, comes directly from Greek δράκων, drákōn. The word for dragon in Germanic mythology and its descendants is worm (Old English: wyrm, Old High German: wurm, Old Norse: ormr), meaning snake or serpent. In Old English wyrm means "serpent", draca means "dragon". Finnish lohikäärme means directly "salmon-snake", but the word lohi- was originally louhi- meaning crags or rocks, a "mountain snake". Though a winged creature, the dragon is generally to be found in its underground lair, a cave that identifies it as an ancient creature of earth.
The dragon of the modern period is typically depicted as a huge fire-breathing, scaly and horned dinosaur-like creature, with leathery wings, with four legs and a long muscular tail. It is sometimes shown with feathered wings, crests, fiery manes, and various exotic colorations.
Asian dragons are long serpent like creatures which possess the scales of a carp, horns of a deer, feet of an eagle, the body of a snake, a feathery mane, large eyes, and can be holding a pearl to control lightning. They usually have no wings. Imperial dragons that were sewn on to silk had five claws (for a king), or four for a prince, or three for courtiers of a lower ranking. The dragons were bringers of rain and lived in and governed bodies of water (e.g lakes, rivers, oceans, or seas). Asian dragons were benevolent, but bossy (this strict behavior is why one of China's nicknames is "the Dragon").
Many modern stories represent dragons as extremely intelligent creatures who can talk, associated with (and sometimes in control of) powerful magic. Dragon's blood often has magical properties: for example it let Siegfried understand the language of the Forest Bird. The typical dragon protects a cavern or castle filled with gold and treasure and is often associated with a great hero who tries to slay it, but dragons can be written into a story in as many ways as a human character. This includes the monster being used as a wise being whom heroes could approach for help and advice.

Name Meaning: Created
Spirit: Dragon
Gender: Male
Age: He's just really, really old and refuses to act like it.
Skin: A dark tan in color.
Ears: pointed at the ends with earrings in his right ear.
Eyes: White irises with slit pupils (lines, like a cat’s and snake’s)
Hair color/design: His hair is a dark purple until it reaches the very edges where is suddenly streaks to white.
Body: His has scales and a scale pattern from his toes and fingers to his elbows and knees which are all dark purple, fading as it crawls upward. Instead of toe and fingernails, he has talons, which are distinctly white. He has wings, which when as a baby, are not large enough to support him in flight, but they will, as he gets older. The actual bone parts (everything but the webbing) is the same dark purple as his scales and hair. The webbing of the wings is a faintly translucent white. He has a tail, a long purple one that ends in white fluff. His horns are white and begin a bit above his ears. They aren’t very long, about three inches (in character).
Clothing: Ra likes nice, expensive and rich clothing. He especially likes clothing in dark colors, usually reds, golds, black, purples, blues, basically any "dark" shaded clothing. He likes relatively loose clothing, nothing skin-tight. I actually have no idea what type of clothing he'd wear though.
Personality: Ra is.....well, he's a kid. He loves to be out and about playing, but is actually quite shy and reclusive around those he doesn't know. He has a tendency to lash out when startled, usually ending in something being bloody or scorched. His obsession over shiny and valuable objects threads into his very personality. Mainly, you can bribe him quite easily with it. He likes to hoard said objects in his room and the flat objects are in his bed. He likes to sleep on them...apparently. Once you get to know him he's actually quite nice, a bit protective, but why not?
Likes: He really likes shiny and valuable objects, often hoarding them. He loves to read and think of intellectual things but he also enjoys being out and about, playing around mostly with himself, though he'll play with you if he knows you well enough he'll never get too close though. He loves fire and flames and creating them (Much to Rhia's chagrin and terror). Sleeping is also one of his little habits, you could probably find him out sunning and napping outside if you can’t find him getting into something else.
Dislikes: He’s not terribly fond of water, and doesn’t like baths much. Dirty objects annoy him however (how would they get clean without water?). He doesn’t like cold food that shouldn’t be cold and he definitely dislikes unexpected noises and lights. If you take away his pretties though...well, "burn ward" is only the beginning...
Abilties: He can fly, obviously, or at least after the baby stage. He can also breathe fire and has a tiny bit of control over it. He can see and hear incredibly well, which leads into his avoidance of loud noises and lights. He has the strange ability to tell how valuable an item actually is. No one knows how but fake antique dealers better watch out.

Name: Rhiannon Knightley
Age: 28 years old.
Race: Human
Ethnicity: Interbred with so many it's not funny. (mutt)
Appearance: Messy slightly over shoulder length hair. She obviously cuts her hair herself and doesn’t care a whit what she looks like. She has one green eye (the left) and one blue eye (the right). Her skin is a bit tan as she works outside quite a bit, either in her gardens or outside just walking in the forest. She is medium height and has more of a lanky build then a stocky one.
Personality: A bit sarcastic in nature, she likes to give as much as she gets. She’s rather cynical for someone so young and prefers to be alone rather then with a group of people. She can be very kind but rarely shows that side to others that she does not know incredibly well. She is mostly anti-social which does not help her career.
Likes: Being alone and computers. Reading fantasy novels and watching movies. She loves to eat junk food but somehow manages to eat healthily as well. She loves to draw though she’s not terribly good at it. If you’re her friend she’s incredibly protective and friendly, but if you’re not you’re far more likely to get brushed aside. She loves to sleep for hideously long hours and usually doesn’t go to sleep until 3-4 a.m. in the morning. She has a fascination with mythology and fantastical things as well as history.
Dislikes: She dislikes being talking to when she’s doing something that requires concentration. She dislikes rude and inconsiderate people, chauvinistic people and others who just grate on her nerves. She hates being forced to do something she doesn’t want to do. She dislikes children, especially babies as they need so much care and are usually whiny and well, a bit disgusting.
Occupation: Author/Writer
Life as of now: She’s been to the best-seller’s list with her novels and now enjoys a life of luxury though it hasn’t gone to her head. She doesn’t live in a mansion with dozens of servants, simply modestly in a house she helped design with plenty or space and room. She is currently writing another book, which she hopes to finish soon.
All of this is a bit blown through when she finds Ra. Having no experience whatsoever with children, especially that of the opposite sex with sharp claws, scaly bits and wings with a special attraction to the necklace she happens to wear all the time, she is a -bit- overwhelmed.
Past: She was born into a nice middle-class family as the fourth child of eight. The entire family cares very much for each other and each one has found some niche in which they are entirely perfect. Rhiannon herself grew up with a loving and caring family and if her grades were a bit slacking and she had a hard time in school, at least her family cared enough to help her through it. She managed to get through college alright and publish her first book. While it wasn’t terribly successful, her name did get out there and soon, as more and more of her books surfaced, she began to make a name for herself. Now, she’s quite wealthy and living off of the savings and profits.
She has no husband or child or any other commitment except to her blood relations. This means she has little experience and the sudden addition of a spirit, especially a baby spirit which has extra appendages and is a different gender, well "surprise and ohmygoddeargodpleasehelpme" are understatements. She has no clue what to do, especially since she wasn't even planning on marriage or chidren.

The day Ra'ashin and Rhiannon met was not the most beautiful of days. It was overcast, the threat of rain and a storm quite clear in the water-laden clouds that lined the sky. Rhia ignored the signs and warnings to stay home, she had dealt with situations similar to this and she knew or at least thought, that she could survive well enough in the forest even if it did begin to pour and the thrunderstorm decided to actually arrive.
She set off at a little past noon, making sure to lock everything up before leaving.
