ok at AX06 at Vic's panel someone brought up Broly (DBZ) which is probably Vic's LEAST favorite role EVER! and Vic said something like "we're not going to Broly-ville" so then I think "o yeah, my brother has the 1st Broly movie dvd, Ill bring it to get signed tomorrow" so we're waiting in line like a half hour early the next day, and while we're waiting we took some cardboard boxes from some guys since they weren't using them to make posters so just for fun i made one that said "Take us 2 Broly-ville please" and when we got in and got to Vic it kinda went like this: Vic: o you are an evil little girl Me: I am? gonk Vic: no not like that you're adorable...(signs dvd) can i take a picture? Me: really? eek (puts down .hack// manga for crispin freeman to sign) Vic: no, dont change ANYTHING! (takes pic) can I sign ur poster too? ((note: the people running this were making a big stink about people only getting one item signed each)) Me: please do! mrgreen so ya that was good times, here's the crummy poster lol

That is hilarious, Amane! XDD I'm going to repost my Steven Blum story... The attendees of Naka-Kon 2007 here in Kansas City, MO back in March were very, very fortunate in that Steven Jay Blum was a guest. During one of his first panels on Friday night, a typical Q&A panel, someone asked him a question relating to his relations with other voice actors. It led to him disclosing that he's actually very, very good friends with Vic Mignogna. Steve then proceeded to pull out his cell phone and call him. Vic answered, and Steve put the cell on speaker phone and held it up to his mic.
"Hey Vic, it's Steve. I'm just calling from a con in Kansas City because there's someone who would like to talk to you." "Alright, who is it?" "Okay." Everyone in the room: "HEY VIC!!!!!" "OH MY GOSH! There are a ton of people in there!! What con are you at?" "Naka-Kon." *cheers* "Wow, you guys are awesome!"
Afterwards, we attempted to call Crispin Freeman, but he didn't answer his phone. So we left a message. xD

Here's my story.
At Anime Boston 03, Scott McNeil was a guest. On some stroke of luck, he was staying on the same floor as my friends and me. On our way downstairs, I passed him in the hallway and got him to sign my AB book, plus got a picture with him. Then he ran to go pee.
Later that night, at 3 am, one my friends and I were going downstairs to fetch our other friend who was still at the dance, since we were 15 and my mom thought we were stupid for leaving her alone down there (which we probably were). My friend is complaining to me about how she didn't get to see Scott and get a hug. We push the elevator button. The door opens, and Scott is standing right there. My friend drops her jaw and points.
Scott: Hi. Friend: Hi... Can I have a hug? Scott: Sure! I need a goodnight hug. *hugs friend. Looks at me.* You know, I need two goodnight hugs. *hugs me* Aw, now I can go to sleep!
He walks off. We melt. 'Twas amazing.

I remembered years ago when it was NAF's first anime convention. One problem after another! @_@
Anyway, when ordering pizza and asked what toppings should be on them, the guest, Brianna Siddall borrows the walkie-talkie from me and shouts into it, " NO! ********! MUSHROOMS! scream ".

GREATNESS FROM A-KON 18.
My friends and I had been standing in line for the Sunday autograph session for almost two hours. I was the first of our group, and I was next to go up to the table. As I'm standing there, chatting with the staffer, I look behind the table and I see a guy who just showed up and was talking to all of the guests, and who looks vaguely familiar, but I can't put a name on it.
Me: 'Scuse me, Mr. Staff-man. Who's that? Staff-man: Who, him? Uh...I don't know. Hey! Who's that? *guy takes his hat off* Me: O_O It's- Girl in line: It's Travis Willingham! Me: OMG TRAVIS WILLINGHAM. *line freaks out*
He just showed up out of nowhere and started signing stuff! Eekerz!
A-Kon stories also include Xero Reynolds and Vic Mignogna throwing out yo'momma jokes during an improv panel, and me being alone in an elevator with Chris Patton. *melts...repeatedly* It was heaven. <333

NAMAEX'S ANIME NORTH 2007 ADVENTURE (OR LACK THEREOF BECAUSE I'M WORKING SPECIAL OPERATIONS)
PART I - THE PRECONVENTION - THURSDAY
I got off work 2 hours early just so I could go to the pre-convention event.
So I packed up all my gear and got to the place where I was meeting my friend so we could carpool to the convention area.
When we got there, my friend and I saw a huge line-up of people already getting their con badges. Looking around, I asked another Speccie where Todd (that would be the absolute Spec Ops head) is so I could get my vest and get to work. They told me that he was at the Spec Ops office, which to my memory was in a room at the bottom floor. After dropping off our stuff, my friend and I went to look for Todd, who, when I found, said that more vests are on their way and I should go to the convention office to get signed in. Which I did.
Pretty much, the majority of the time I was at the pre-con event, I helped out with keeping the line from clogging the hallway by having people stick to the wall, and keeping people from blocking the swimming pool entrance door or else they'd constantly be hit. After that, I got a convention bag with awesome goodies like the schedule with all the programs, and a map, and to my pleasant surprise, a copy of NewType USA.
At the end of the day, I went to the Spec Ops crash space, which I gotta to you guys, it was really sweet. It's definitely a lot nicer than the other rooms they have at the hotel, and has a lot more space. None of us in the room (that would be 7 of us I believe) weren't tired at all, we all gathered around and watched Kung Pao. Years ago, when I saw the trailer for this movie, I was offended so I didn't watch it at all in theatres. By the end of the movie, I had a better opinion of it, and then we all went to bed so we could all be ready for the onslaught of the next day...
To be continued.

Gah! I completely forgot to add more to my report!
gonk
Let's see... synopsis...
The cast of Bleach is very entertaining and informative, especially Patrick Seitz (well, on the entertaining part anyway).
Liaisons should stop stealing much needed personnel from Spec Ops when liaisons said that they'd handle the autograph lines on their own. scream
NamaeX can dance... or thinks they can dance...
2 hours before convention ended (when I was about to take a nap), a car crash happened. Myself and a bunch of other people arrived on-site and proceeded to direct traffic even in very heavy rain. However, a few of us got cowardly and left when it rained. Those of us that stayed got drenched from head-to-toe and was there until 10-20 minutes after the police arrived onto the scene. Those of us that were ultimately soaked went and dried ourselves off in the staff lounge and had to cross the length of the hotel (in only towels) to get to the Spec Ops office to change into spare clothes.
Fan Expo 2007
Synopsis
Shop Shop Shop!
Chat with Brad before he had to sign anything.
"Hey Brad! What happened to your hair?!" "They lost it at the airport!" "Those bastards!"
I'm honoured that he also remembers me from fan-casting him in Naruto, Bleach, and Sgt. Frog.
I got him to sign Char's Counterattack DVD
I met two lovely ladies of ADV, Luci Christian and Laura Bailey. I talked to them both about my fan-cast projects on Gintama and Claymore. I also talked to Luci about Full Metal Panic! possible 3rd season and the light novel release date as she signed my "The Second Raid" DVDs.
Bought Persona 3 PS2 game and a few manga
The next day, I showed them both (and Brad) pictures from the Claymore anime as well as my fan-cast list. I gave Luci and Laura the fan-cast list for my ADV choices for Claymore.
Went and got Trisha Helfer's autograph.
Attended Crispin Freeman's Q&A panel that wasn't printed on the schedule.
Lent Crispin one of my wooden swords to demonstrate his swordsmanship.
Final day, got Maile Flanagan's autograph, Crispin to sign Witch Hunter Robin DVD box, Planetes DVD box, and Ghost in the Shell DVD box.
Oh, and I attended the Gaia Gatherings (DJ Helsing!)

Here is a funny story from Otakon 07: My sister and I were in line to get autographs at the funimation booth on that Saturday, and while we were waiting we asked the staff at the booth who the one VA was at the end. To my surprise, it was Brandon Potter, the dub actor of Sven Volfied from Black Cat. I am gonna say this right now, my sister loves his voice as Sven and she had been wanting to meet him for forever. So, after getting the autographs of Catlin Glass [who also plays Saya in Black Cat] and Brina Palencia [who plays Eve] I had to tell him how much she loved him as Sven, because she was chicken. Brandon Potter was really nice and was so sweet, he was really happy that we liked it since it was his first roll. Afterwards, we ran around looking for a Black Cat wallscroll and luckily found one. My sister got it signed by them all, and when we asked Brandon Potter to sign it, he turned all Fan-boy on us! Saying: "CAN I SIGN HERE?! CAN I PLEASE SIGN HERE?!" as he pointed to a space on Sven. It was SOOO FUNNY! And she took a picture of it too, it's her favorite thing from Otakon. Yeah, you can't really see Brandon Potter's autograph since he signed in silver.

I was going to try to get Vic Mignogna to sign my cosplay Death Note but he was surrounded by what would of been angry fangirls ticked off that I was trying to get him to sign a Death Note. I swear next year when he is not shielded by fangirls I'll ask him.
Also I got Amy Howard Wilson to sign it. I never did see Star Blazers yet as I've not gotten to money to do so, but I swear once I do I'm watching it. Old school dubbed anime back in the day where people didn't get spoiled on internet fansubs. smile
