Charming slid off of the saddle of his now sweat-streaked, snow-white mare and groaned, allowing his bum to hit the ground with a thud. He hadn't been riding in about two months and his first trek out since going to all the balls and parties was proving to be a harrowing one. Charming stood up after a little while and checked in his horse's saddle bags, in search of provisions. After finding a hard, brittle biscuit he closed the bags and sat back down on the trail to munch at the unflavored travel food wryly. After finishing his small lunch, Charming stood up and brushed the crumbs off of his cloak with an almost fastidious care, no matter how many times the prince travelled the biscuits never tasted any better, and here he had thought they were an acquired taste or something. Euch. He was, to put it simply, in the middle of nowhere. Charming smiled wryly, knowing that he was now on the borders of The Goblin Kingdom and The Dragon Kingdom, it was quite a deserted stretch of land. AFtre observing his surroundings once more, Charming pulled himself up onto his horse and started off at a brisk trot, he hadn't seen anyone on the trail for the last thirty or so miles and he longed to be free of the initial solitude-- he was currently following the lead on some lost princess or another. He didn't know exactly which one-- just that he was bored and it seemed interesting enough. As usual.

Charming sighed and brushed a hand over his horse's mane. It was now nearing nightfall and the seemingly endless scrublands of the Goblin Kingdom were turning rapidly to rough terrain-- the terrain of the Dragon Kingdom. Charming threw his gaze around, searching for any good resting spots; there seemed to be none. The prince finally dismounted and tied his horse to a rock jutting out of the groud he then wrapped his cloak around himself and went to sleep on the hard ground. This really wasn't swan's down, but so long as Charming wanted to keep up his fame he'd have to deal with it. Two more days of riding would probably get him to the fortress where this particular princess was 'trapped'. Charming grimaced at the thought that another dragon might be guarding it. Ooh~ Slay the dragon. Yeah, whatever. It wasn't that fun. Just something to keep himself occupied, the prince assured himself.

Calentze Aii sighed as he wandered along the dirt road leading from the barren outlands of the Goblin Kingdom into the warmer and harsher lands of the Dragon Kingdom. With Prince Jade currently in the care of the Naga Kingdom, he had nothing to do but travel around and collect needed ingredients for complicated spells and special, rare ingredients for the sake of having them incase of an emergency.

"there is nothing here" he muttered to his wolf companion, the snowy furred canine raised it's elegant head to stare at it's master, a low growl emitting from it's throat in reply. The Dark Pegasus Mage smiled and stretched a hand down to pet the soft fur on the Wolf's head, a soft smile flitting across is features. He swept a hand through his ebony hair and looked around. He could hear movement, sense something that was not meant to be here. The distance ebb of a mortal soul.

Lore had less than no idea what he was doing so far from Malecoda's castle. Well, that wasn't quite true. He knew what he was doing there: she had told him to go there and bargain with the dragons for some of the scales which they ought to be shedding about this time of year. However, he couldn't really believe he was here. His experience with the Underground was limited strictly to Malecoda's castle and the surrounding area.
Malecoda had magicked him as close to his destination as she dared without upsetting either the Goblin King or the dragons. He would have to walk the rest of the way. Lore wondered if Malecoda had ever had to make this particular trek, and decided that even if she had she would not have taken pity on him and transported him any closer.
At least she had performed the transportation spell, rather than making him do it. He had jsut begun to study those, and he could have ended up anywhere, and he'd rather not have done.

You don't mind if I jump in, do you?

(( Yii! People! ;3 ))

Charming awoke in a rather groggy state from his sleep, it was morning now and for a moment he had no idea at all where he was. Oh, yeah. Back to saving some princess. The prince rolled over on the hard ground before lithely getting to his feet and untying his horse. Back to the wastelands. Into the dragon kingdom. God, he detested the dragon kingdom - it was dangerous traveling. Every rock on the unpaven trails threatened to turn a horse's leg.

The prince decided, glancing at his white steed, that he would really prefer not to have the horse break its leg. Because that meant Charming was more likely to break his leg. Chances were he'd have to walk if anything happened to the horse. He narrowed his eyes, gazing at the hazy mountains in the distance. This would certainly not be one of his favorite treks thorugh the mountains. The weather looked like it would be bad.
