[#01] March 8th 2008
Staring out the window as the raindrops came down by the millions, it was very calming and soothing but after quite some time of looking, Fweedle swore the raindrops danced and cheered before him until they disappeared with a splat. Fweedle stood up and brushed whatever dust that was stuck onto his robe and walked towards his sofa. Landing on the cushion, a puff of dust shot up and fluttered about before slowly drifting down again. He gave a sigh and looked around. The house was a rather old, oriental style house, big enough for a small family. The walls still stood strong even after all those years of enduring the harsh winds of the higher grounds. The roof, with a few pieces of tiles missing, still covered majority of the house. For the rest, there were pots and pans below the holes to collect all the rain water. (He thought that there might be future uses for it). The floor, even after all this while, was in perfect condition but it was covered in a blanket of dust. While looking about his new home, Fweedle though about ... cleaning it. Even though he cringed at that thought, he knew he had to do it. It was like living in crap right then.
Rampaging through the closet, he got out whatever cleaning tools that was available. Clothes of different size, mops and brooms leaned against the wall and the many different brands of cleaning detergent laid on the floor, half empty and dripping. He rolled his robe up, tied a knot around his waist and got to work. Emptying the pots and pans filled with water into a large bucket. He was glad he didn't threw the water away. After the bucket was filled, he squeezed the detergent into it, grabbed a mop and dipped it into the bubble filled, soapy water. After twisting the mop about for a while, he lifted it and slopped it down and ran, from one end of his house. The The rest of the day went on, the rain stopped as though someone knew that Fweedle was cleaning his house. He patched the roof; gave the walls, both outside and inside a fresh new coat and the floors were wiped so clean, he could see himself in it. The flowers danced in the breeze once again when the weeds surrounding it were cut away. Everything look so new, it did not look like it was abandoned. Wiping the beads of sweat of his face, he jumped onto his bed and closed his eyes, a smile plastered onto his face.
The very next day, he got up early. Giving a slight yawn, he went to the bathroom to freshen up. Stepping out all fresh and clean, he opened the fridge. As expected, it was empty and he was hungry. Grabbing his hat and bags, he rode on his bicycle and went down to the nearest market.
As Fweedle was cycling down the dirt road, a truck was speeding towards him. When he realised what was happening, the truck was already so close, he thought he could feel the heat from the engine of it. But it was as though time slowed down before finally stopping. The truck stood just inches away from him but his eyes were glued to something else, something above the truck.
A sudden sense of Deja-vu came over him, the face of the being above the truck was so familiar, it jolted something kept hidden at the back of his head, it was a memory of back before Fweedle became bakaneko. As though it was like an old film, the memory played on. It was when he was a kitty, so happy and content with his life. He was playing with his beloved ball of yarn when it rolled on to the road. Instinct instantly kicked in and he chased it, running to the middle of the road. At that time, a truck so large was racing towards him. And like what happened to him now, it happened then. The truck slowed until it stopped, the very figure standing above it, smiling at him. The glow that came from it so warm, it lifted the spirit of the little kitty. Fweedle bit onto the yarn and ran off the road, still staring at the being. After smiling at Fweedle one last time, he flapped his wings and burst into light, that very light snapped Fweedle back into reality.
When he realised what is happening, he found himself at the side of the road. The truck slowly sped up and drove away. Fweedle was still dazed but he got his bike up again and went to buy his groceries.
On his way back, Fweedle couldn't stop thinking about the angel that saved him. It was as though he was watching over him, always there when he was in trouble. Fweedle shook his head, trying to concetrate on getting back home and sped off. After a few minutes of cycling, he reached his home. He opened the door and pushed the bike inside, towards a corner and headed for the kitchen. Stocking up the fridge took him sometime but after a while, he was done. Giving himself a pat, he decided to take a rest. When he was about to open the door to his room, he heard a faint giggling. There was something in his room, on his bed and Fweedle was not happy about it.
Fweedle pushed open the door and was surprise at what he saw. There was a baby, all wrapped up. He had wings and halo and a face that reminded him of his guardian angel. He went forward and picked up the baby. The warmth given off by the baby was so familiar yet so different. Lifting the baby up to his face, he smiled. "Valrino..." he suddenly said. It was weird as that name just suddenly popped up in his mind. Fweedle also somehow knew that his life had changed from that point on...

Having wings meant that there are alot of things that could not be done. One such task is taking a bath or more specifically, fitting in to the bathtub. Valrino giggled as he splashed the water, his wings poking out of the side of the tub. Fweedle sighed and started gently scrubbing Valrino's back, being especially careful around the wings area. Ever since he found his little angel, nothing was the same.
In the past, Fweedle would avoid water like a plague but now, after nearly weeks of toture, he manage to overcome his fear just slightly to help give his baby a bath. Somehow, he managed to change his sleeping pattern. Being used to sleeping in the day and active at night meant that he couldn't take care of Valrino's needs like food and diaper change. Upon that thought, Fweedle shivered and lifted Valrino up and started drying him up.
Valrino frowned, just a little when he felt the body of water leaving. Why did his fun end so early, he was just having fun with the rubber ducky.
"Alright, time for some food. Are you hungry my dear?" Fweedle smiled and covered Valrino up in a robe that pooled around the feet. Valrino smiled when he looked up and nodded, nibbling on his fingers. As they walked out of the bathroom and into the living room, they both smiled as the sun started to set.
