Online gaming is a realm of constant bickering, racist, sexist, and childish comments flying between rivals and friends alike. However amidst all this hatred there is the infrequent situation where a joke so bad, so horribly cheesy can make even the most serious gamer crack up in laughter, even if he's not stoned or drunk.
I present to you a situation that happened to me just yesterday. Some friends of mine on XBL and I were playing one of our regular Gears sessions. My team was winning. The last living person on my team and I were looking for the last enemy and we found him, this person being a friend of mine. I fire a few shotgun blasts at him, downing him. I roll away from the downed enemy and tell my teammate to fire the Hammer of Dawn finishing off the game. He does so, we won another round. Seconds into the post round window a horribly corny joke pops into my head, so I say it. Everyone listening, the friend who got killed by the hammer listening but not being able to talk due to his crappy headset listening as well, none of them aware of what's about to come.
"Ryath, I think you're a little bit hammered." The room erupts in laughter, one of my teammates says it's the worst joke he's heard, yet he continues laughing. We start the next round everyone laughing. My team wins again, and we enter the post round room, laughter still abound. I can barely talk before the game starts again. During this next round I take myself out along with two of my enemies(Friends again) with a frag. We enter the dead player chat and I hear nothing but laughter, they're still laughing over my joke.
It's almost sad how such a simple and stupid joke can lighten up the entire game's attitude. But situations like this cannot be a one time event. Has anyone run into a situation like this? Doesn't need to be Gears, could be any game. Just post a time when you were playing a game and someone said something, or did something so simple and stupid in game you couldn't stop laughing.

I was playing Rainbow Six Vegas alooooong time ago when my Xbox didn't die. We were playing Attack and Defend, we were defence and for an hour game they didn't even touch our package once and I only saw two enemies the entire game. Anyways it was extremely boring sitting near the package watching our motion sensors and hiding behind cover for an enemy that wasn't ever there. Evenually a guy said "My mama says aligators are so angry because all them teeth but no tooth brush" then another guy said "gatoraaaaade" and everyone started laughing for the laugh half hours of Waterboy qoutes. No one there even enjoyed the movie, I guess that's what happens when you have really big one sided games.

I may have, but I can't recall.
It's good when you hear stuff like that. Many people are rude, idiotic morons with nothing better to do then b***h about the game, so it's nice to hear a joke that doesn't involve racism, sexism, or general lack of intelligence.
Of course, I like rude jokes, but I think they can get taken out of hand way to easily, especially online.
