From very early on, the four card limit has been in place to prevent some seriously broken decks. And then Soul Foundry comes along and starts messing with it.

Is this really a good idea? It can make otherwise balanced creatures severely broken, and normally breakable creatures into nightmares. It makes a Plague Rat swarm deck viable again. An endless supply of Metalworkers in an artifact deck is Just Wrong. A dozen Children of Korlis and a Time Bomb, I need say no more. A couple Foundries with some Ornithopters and some Coats of Arms, who needs Plague Rats? Teamed up with the card that makes the Legend rule ignorable, there's even more ways to break it.

What are your favorite ways to utterly break both Soul Foundry and your opponent's will at the same time?

Ok foundry is not that broken for a simple principle of mana limitations. Ok you say that some creatures werethe reason for the 4 copy rule. well whats worse being able to produce an unlimited number of Akroma's (assuming that you made her a non-legend), or something like 4 AEther Flashs, that do 2 damage a piece to a creature that comes into play? I think that cards like soul foundry are fine because weather it be in the block it comes in or another block there is a card out there that will more than likely level it's power. Leathal Vapors is a great example. You play soul foundry with akroma ( for sake of argument) well now every time a creature comes into play it is destroyed. Unless you skip your next turn, you can destroy the vapors. well how many people are going to skip for a few creatures? Not many . Thats why there are cards that look broken but are not really. There is always a deck idea, card combo, or single card out ther that levels it's power. The ONLY acceptions are the power 9. Which those are limited to 1 per deck and in most tournament styles banned. Most casual players though will et you play them because they love the challenge.

What about cards that cost one or two mana?

True, like artifact destruction? except wait, didn't it come out in the set that made it so you couldn't kill artifacts?

Thats the beauty of it, someone else can skip their turn, by the tiem you use the foundry you should have a nice setup already.

not always, There are plenty of decks out there that are designed to make sure that their strategies get going no matter the opposition. Even the Power Nine (with nod to around 8 other cards just below the nines power level) their absolute most powerful advantage exists early game.

Absolutely, but that last part aside, there are loads of ways of getting rid of problems, but if your not running the deck for it, who cares if your other decks can handle a particular strategy? I think i can safely say, It's all down to the now, and what your going to do with the cards yo've prepared for this interaction.

now i'd have to say, Soul Warden, Essence Warden, Azorius Herald, or Court Hussar. and that's just the annoying ones. think about Mogg Fanatic imprinted on it, or worse, Goblin Sharpshooter.

True, but you've already lost the creature imprinted.

And don't take me wrong, I love the card (in fact used for a while to create an army of epochrasites/serra avengers), but it was too slow even then.
