 Little black paws carried the cub away from any familiar surroundings as Nariko was being curious. Not one to go on many adventures, today seemed to be rather boring as all his siblings were out and about except for him. He wanted in on the adventure, but no sooner had he tried following after one of his brothers did he lose them with the blink of an eye.
A soft sigh escaped the little black and gray cub as he realized no sooner that he was lost. At least he was still surrounded by the green grass that he knew was of the Pridelands. This comforted him just a bit as he tried to figure out his surroundings.

 Tope had gotten away from his brother again. He needed some damn alone time-he was tired of having to decipher every danged word that came out of his mouth. Somedays he wished his brother was mute still and didn't talk like a total buffoon. He sighed, his brown paws padding softly. He was curious-curious of this pridelands. The ones he and his family wished to soon join. He was bored with seeing it far away, he wanted to see it closer. So with nimble steps, he padded on. What a diffrent place from the swamps. There was barely any mud (minus points) and he could hear barely any frogs (minus points)... but there were flowers (Plus points) that he had never seen before. Tope was partail to flowers for some reason. Hm... He was almost glad that he was cursed. Due too his father none the less. Hmm.
His pink eyes wandered as he came closer too the lands. He began to study the area around him. He could grow to like it here. He then spotted something dark amongst the grass. He stopped, his gloved foot lifted. Hmm. A stranger? This was going to be interesting

Ears perked forward as off in the distance Nariko's gaze settled on a figure not to much larger than his own. Curious, he tilted his head slightly while debating on whether to meet up with this strange or turn back. Normally he would turned back, but he wanted to prove to his brothers that he wasn't shy and demure, but bold like them.
Taking the initiative, the little black and gray cub walked towards the figure in the distance with small, friendly smile.

Tope watched this small dark form for a moment before he recognized that it was a cub. He blinked, interested and curious. Was this a pridelands cub? Were they any diffrent than he? He idled foreward. his head held high as he took in this small cub with his pink eyes sparkling. Why, it was just a little boy too. What was he doing out here all alone? It wasn't like Tope had any right to have a say, he ran away many times at this boys age. He padded closer too the stranger with a smile across his face.
Well, aren't you a bit small to be wandering alone? Are the pridelands that safe? Erm... anyway. I'm Tope...He said, walking up in front of the stranger with a smile.

Green eyes watched the juvenile come closer as Nariko gave him a lopsided smile in greetings. The other was only a slight bit bigger than him, but then again, he was almost the last one born. At the other's question, his ears perked up, "Oh, yea I was following my brothers but somehow I had lost them. They always do stuff without me..." His voice trailed off slightly hurt before he shook the feeling away, "I guess you could say that the Pridelands are safe, my mom or any other adult hasn't talked about attacks or whatnot. I'm Nariko!"

Tope narrowed his eyes a bit. He didn't think a cub so small should be wandering away from his family so young-but one could tell that Tope did his fair share of running off. But this fellow was following his brothers and got lost-that must be a bit scarey for him. His heart lowered a bit-he was sympathetic though he had no older brothers. I'm Tope.. I am glad to hear this place has no wars or such-my parents want to live here with my siblings and I. He said, blinking his pink eyes, walking beside the small dark cub. He liked this boy. He had spunk but Tope wanted to head him back towards the safer parts of the lands-if he knew where those were.
He looked down too the cub. Do they leave you behind alot?

His tail flicked as Nariko gave Tope a small smile, "This place is nice, my mom likes it a lot, but not much happens here other than lots of cubs running around," He paused in thought, "I guess that'd give us plenty of playmates though."
As to Tope's question, his eats lowered slightly in dismay, "Kind of. My sisters play with me, but my brothers think I'm not adventurous enough for them...or they said something like that."

Tope smiled back and looked around. Other cubs. So this place was popular... and had alot of breeding going on. That was a good sign, lots of food... water... shelter. It was safe and this made Tope sigh. He cocked his head at the black cub. My mother likes it here too. I guess thats why she brought us cubs here he said, looking down too the little boy.
He shook his head. Don't worry. My father had the same thing happen to him and he turned out to be the strongest, biggest, most awesome lion I know... and I'm not just saying that cause he is my Dad he said with a laugh.
