I don't care if someone should have died or not. I am just glad they all didn't die like in some anime....damn wolf's rain. Sorry for people who didn't know that LOL!

Personally...I don't think so. Une was such a great dynamic personality and she was definitely one who changed the most. This seemed really important to the storyline. To me, her changing left me thinking, "If she can change for the better...there's hope for humanity yet!" It was so refreshing to see the person she evolved into...

I truly would have been sad to see her die.

Although her getting shot early on and going poof until that mysterious apparition in Episode 28 makes one wonder. I mean she was almost a ghost in that episode and Treize was convinced she was dead. But she suddenly shows up in Episode 42 and you know she's probably gonna wake up and have some impact. Eh, that episode 28 ghost really makes me wonder if she was meant to die.

As realistic it may seem to have more characters killed off in GW, it would be all too boring and utterly predictable if the creators did so. Plus, it would cause quite a ruckus among the fangirls and fanboys.
About the whole Lady Une apparition thing, I don't recall seeing that. I think I'm going to rewatch that episode.

I'm glad Zechs survived....and no, I don't think more people should have died. Death doesn't make a good anime...it doesn't make a good anything, survival does, also so does meaning...just killing is a bloodthirsty habbit.
