Do you have any excersises that you do with your horse to warm them up for you ride or your lesson? Have any insights you have learned about what goes into a good warm-up?
If you only take lessons, what are some of the warmp-ups your instructor has you do, either for the rider or the horse?

Well, I circle Riley on the ground while I take my time to cinch him up - to get his feet moving and to get rid of any pinching.
Then I usually lunge him, 5-10 minutes of walk, switching directions constantly each. Then 5-10 of trot, still switching directions to keep him focused. Then a couple canter circles in each direction.
Then when I get on him, I walk him around on a long/loose rein for about 10 minutes, I ask him to cross over his hind legs and give to each rein. I'll then take it to the trot, doing the same thing.
Then lots of circles, changing direction, anything to get him bending.
For me, I do just simple leg streaches before I get on. Helps me be less sore afterwards.

I often start off by walking all through the fields, and just do small stretches just to get myself and Penny ready for a long ride. I often spend time stretching out on her neck, with my arms down onto her chest, and let her walk where she needs to. I often find myself doing small half passes at the walk to warm up.

I walk my horse around the ring (20m by 60m) Twice on each rein. Then I go around the ring on both reins doing the long and low stretching that is in Training level tests 3 and 4 and First level tests 1 and 2. It helps to get him to stretch over his back.
