It's a definite NO for me. I have no feelings of "yes" in my bones, spirit, mind, anything; when it comes to this question.
On one hand I support the fact that he wants to make a "difference" in the world and rid it of supposed "bad people"--that does not mean I support the lying little b*****d. And then the other hand no, I definitely do not support him due to the fact that he's doing the exact same thing to the criminals in which they did to someone else. How does that make it better? Not only that, but he's irrational and manipulative and takes the lives of people in which don't need to be taken. Such as Ray Penbar for one; the man was simply doing his job and Light killed him along with all of his partners in the department and higher-ups. That is EXACTLY what Light was using the notebook FOR; to kill people that take advantage of the weak, and yet he's doing it himself? What is this, kindergarten? Someone stole his cheetos and then kicked his best friend in the shin? Gonna go punch their face in and take the cheetos back? How does that help society and the insane economy and environment to raise itself up out of its' s**t-pit? HMMM!?
Come on, give me a ********' break. What a little b***h, he needs a life--seriously. Go look at porn mags that you disguise as school books or something, god damnit. *Gets really worked up about this question*

I would but on the same level I wouldn't... cause there would always be that fear that I'd get framed one day end up in jail and he'd kill me.... plus If Kira was real L would be too and I'd want to meet him first.... xd

No. I mean what if some people were convicted for doing a crime they didn't commit. Then they would die and the real killer wouldn't. And Kira was getting his information from the newscasts which makes it even worse because they might change some things in the story or maybe not even have all/the right information. So no I would not support Kira. Although maybe I'd put a poster of Light up. blaugh

Okay, thinking long and hard about it, I would not support Kira. See, here's the way I'd go about life with Kira. I would support him on a superficial level but truly, I would be stabbing his back in my mind and quite possibly just not care and go with the flow of the mob mentality.
Look at it this way, Kira from the beggining wished to rule a new perfect world as God of it. His means although smart, striking fear for peace and what-not, were wrong and he only really cared about those who stood in his way. This to him was a battle of pride against L, then continuing on to Near/Mello; he cared not about his masses of followers. I say Kira should've masturbated, it might've relieved some stress and he could've started thinking clearly. Hey, Misa was ready and willing, Light should've taken advantage of that but that's far from the point. My point is, if Kira existed, I would not follow him/her because in no way would he/she care about me. His/her only attention would be directed to those in his way and the victims to his Death Note. If I give love, I better get love back and that is exactly what Light would not do.
On the other hand, I am not one to speak. If I were ever given a Note my methods would be even more outrageously immoral, tactless, and selfish. I would either use it for all sorts of earthly gain or to my advantage in life. The world would have been in the s**t and if anything would have gotten better for the people, it would have been the economic situation. In this hypothetical situation, yes, I would support myself/Kira/whatever.

Would I support Kira? Absolutely not.
First of all (as I stated in my introduction on the "new people" thread) I firmly believe that no one ever deserves the right to take the life of another, and whether someone lives or dies is not your decision to make. Any way you look at it, killing another human being is wrong, whether the victim is young or old, male or female, red or yellow, black or white, "bad" or "good." Being flawed human beings, who are we to judge who deserves to die and who deserves to live? That isn't up to us. Only God can decide when someone's time on Earth is up.
Secondly, it's been proven that utopias (on Earth, anyways) NEVER work, and never will: human beings are just too flawed. Even if everyone Kira kills off everyone he believes doesn't deserve to live, Earth is still going to be a screwed up place. People will still hate, hurt others, be selfish, and ultimately, be human. It's in human nature. You can't just go in and force someone to act a certain way or keep from doing something that's only natural, such as breathing. Everyone would be miserable. If someone wants to change the world, killing millions of people just isn't the way to go about it.
In short, following someone like Kira goes against everything I believe in. I'm sure as heck not about to go worship someone who obviously isn't God, and who unjustly condemns people to death. Really, Kira is no better than those he kills. I'd REALLY have to be not right in the head to become one of his followers. I don't care what Kira might think of it. mrgreen

Personally, I'm completely against Kira's ideals. He means well, but as Ryuk said to him, if that's his logic, the only one left alive in the end will be him.

I'd totally support Kira. His ideals are right. He avoided killing innocents; the only reason he started to kill them is because ryuuzaki came after him...left alone, the judgements would have continued justly. No, I don't support him killing innocents, but judging people was the right thing to do. GO LIGHTO-KUN!!!
