The Sin'aeis kitchen was full of sweet smells. Lorelei was in there, her green apron on over her toga. In one hand was her favorite romance book (Pastry Love) and in the other was a wooden spoon.
"Ilo, this is the recipe that Suzette used to win the baking contest so she could go to France with her true love!"
Ilo was looking out one of the windows, bobbing about, not really caring about her odd books.
"Let's see... lemon and cherry tarts," Lorelei read, "Good thing Ophelia bought those lemons for me, hm?"
Lorelei put the book aside and started to rummage in the refridgerator.

Ooooo, a kitchen!
Yvette - Evie, to her friends and family - had actually managed to convince one of her older siblings she deserved some 'alone time' in the Sin mansion, since she'd never been there on her own before. It wasn't as though there were any horrible evil things here to hurt her, she'd wheedled; it was as safe as home or the Tenjutsu Center. And she was BORED. After about an hour of whining, Aeris had been happy to send her little sister on her way.
That had been about two hours ago, and Yvette had been happily exploring ever since. After losing herself in the playroom, the hall closet and the library, it was the rumbling in her belly that had finally reminded her that she hadn't had any breakfast. Since it was nearly lunchtime anyway, the little zuccini Sin had decided to see if she could find something to eat in one of the various rooms she hadn't examined yet.
She hadn't quite expected somebody to be here, but hey, maybe they could help her figure out something to snack on.
Peeking up on tiptoes in an attempt to see over the counter, she grinned. "Hullo."

Lorelei stood up and turned around, her arms full of ingredients.
"Oh, hello!" she smiled dazedly, "Do you like to cook, too? I'm making lemon and cherry tarts today."
She spoke as if she was a show host on one of those cooking channels.
"Would you like to help?" Lorelei tilted her head, "Maybe with some help I won't end up with flour all over my face.... again...."
She sat the ingredients down on the counter and peered at her book. It was the best of both worlds-- a romance book with a recipe at the end! And Lorelei liked fruit, so it was even better.

Yvette paused, thinking. Did she like to cook? She didn't usually get a chance, being one of the youngest of nearly sixty children. Then again, if this girl cooked like Dray did - and judging by the 'flour on her face' comment, it was a good possibility - she could use all the help she could get. "What're tarts?"
Maybe they would be good. "I'm Evie, by the way. Well, Yvette really, but my friends call me Evie."

"I'm Lorelei, but most people call me Lore. You can call me whatever you want, as long as it isn't mean," dazedly, Lorelei waved, a clueless smile plastered on her face.
"Tarts are..." Lorelei trailed off, looking at her book again, "They're a dessert!" she proclaimed proudly (while she really had no idea what they actually were).
"They're a dessert... with lemons and cherries!" she continued, trying to look knowledgeable on the subject.
