I'm indifferent to athiesm. Personally I see it as a default (you are an athiest by default if you don't believe in anything theologically) and I'm kind of confused by people who make athiesm part of their identity in a way that a Christian or Muslim would make their religion part of their identity. I don't really mind though, even though I might personally not share their belief. What does piss me off though are what I call "evangelical athiests". These are the athiests that go around harrassing religious people (although to be honest I never see a member of a non-Abrahamic faith get harrassed like this) about their beliefs and trying to convince them to be athiests. To me this is just as annoying as an evangelical Christian aggressively trying to get me to accept Jesus. To me, it doesn't seem like it should matter to the athiest whether or not others share their beliefs.
Also I feel that if you are going to reject the existence of God you should also reject the existence of spirits/lifeforce (ala animism, paganism), spiritual transcendence, karma, etc. I feel like many times athiests have a double standard in that they want to reject Western religions (I consider Islam a Western religion) and semi-embrace or at least tolerate Eastern religions.
Sorry if that came off as being a bit harsh. You're perfectly welcome here, and I consider athiesm to be an acceptable belief. My best friend and my parents are both athiests, so it's not like the concept is completely foreign to me.

hmmm... interesting... That is why i am an agnostic atheist.... smile I am an atheist and do not believe in any sort of god, but I accept the idea that I possibly can be wrong. I do not promote atheism but instead I promote thinking, doubt, agnosticism, etc
