First Question: You have to make sure that you don't deselect what you are trying to move.

Second Question: Paint doesn't let you do much as far as graphics are concerned, it's really there to alter already existing files.

Photoshop acutally let's you create and alter images for example, the image provided in the link there is a self portrait I used mostly my own artwork to protray different sides of me, those the faded effect. Photobucket also allows you to work in layers rather on one surface like Paint.

Now if you take a look at the following images I would like to point out that Photoshop is a bit more easy when it comes to coloring images that you've sketched.

Or do you mean fonts, cause photoshop has more bells and whistles than paint, for some reason I had it for free on my computer, I love it.
