It depends really. Kagome is the strongest when fighting Inuyasha...but against anyone else, she probably couldn't hold her own against them.
Sango, she kicks all a**, no matter who it is. She is my favorite character because she is so skilled with the Hiraikotsu. That...and who can't love a woman with a big fluffy kitty like Kirara. ^^
Kikyo, in my personal opinion, is good with a bow, but can't fight for crap. She nailed Inuyasha sure, but that's cause he was stupid enough to get close to the sacred tree.
Kagura above all can kick anyones a**. She, in my opinion is the strongest fighter. Even Inuyasha can barely hold his ground agains her.

Hang on now...Are we talking about Inuyasha's girl fighters, or just the general female fighters of all anime?
Tell ya what, I'm pretty sure Soi Fong or Yoruichi. could kick Kikyo, Kagome, Kagura, and Sango's a** altogether on any given day.
Personally, I like Kusanagi (I think that's what her name is) from GITS, but I haven't got to watching that lately so after that I'd go with Lucy from Elfen Lied. However, it is hard to compare because some of these are in different times and have different conditions.
I mean, stick Kagura in today's world and yeah, she might take a few of us down, but eventually someone's gonna shoot her in the head.
