We are here to promote religious tolerance amongst Gaians. This is a place to freely share and discuss views, for people who want to learn more about other religions, and what they can do to spread the idea of tolerance.

All are welcome here. We ask you please abide our few simple rules:
Respect one another.
No proselytizing, or trying to convert people.
Do not make hateful threads for the sake of upsetting members of the guild. (No trolling.)
Keep your topics about religion, tolerance, and morality.
Spamming is allowed, but only in the Non-Religious Chat sub-forum.
If you want to advertise a new guild, please do so only in the Non-Religious Chat sub-forum.
Please post to the best of your spelling and grammar abilities.
If you have any problems, contact one of our moderators. (See the fourth post of this thread.)

Come here to talk about anything. You're even welcome to make spam threads here.
Morality and Ethics
Talk about controversial issues that don't always have to do with religion, such as abortion, euthanasia, gay marriage, etc.
Religion and Politics
Religiously motivated political perspectives. Talk about the war in Iraq here.
Projects, Events and Contests
This is where we host or hold contests and events. Join our monthly art contests, or feel free to hold your own contest or lottery.

In light of certain circumstances to come about within a now locked thread in the guild, I felt that I should elaborate on the use of language within the guild. As we can all tell by its name, this guild is one based on tolerance, be it religious or otherwise. However, this is not to say that members or non-members can waltz in and make posts that don't make any sense. Not naming names here, but I'd kindly advise everyone to take a step back, re-examine their internet behaviour, and type in full, coherent sentences. As if you were writing an essay for school.
Also, as with any other forum, if one is in a debate, one must carry oneself as such. Citing sources of information, for instance. Providing facts to back up any claims you might make. You know, real simple stuff.

We have a new forum, Religion Q and A. If you have any questions regarding a specific religion, sect or denomination, or if you want to write a FAQ thread about any religion, that forum is the place to do it!
