Willow looked about the shop. Empty again, well it might be a good thing. Everything had gotten slightly clamer, she still hadn't figured out how to help move the ghosts to the otherside. It was starting to bother her too.
The longer it took the meaner they got it seemed. She started writing things down, things started to seem like codes. "God I hope it doesn't take till I'm grown to slove this problem." She was scratching her head musing over the sticky note that held what she knew. At the top was Trent's name, she still blamed him for all this. Ever since her last growth.

Though it looked convincingly like it was empty, there was another in the shop. This one was, however, curled up behind the plushies on the shelf, sleeping soundly. Or not so soundly.... Because Sid was having a nightmare.
He was back in the bushland like he'd been on his growth quest. And again, a kookaburra swooped down and grabbed him in its beak, ready to make a meal of him. This time though, Sid knew instantly what to do - use his unnatural skills to heat up and burn it's tongue! Only.... it didn't seem to be working! And the kookaburra wasn't a kookaburra any more.... it had turned into a huge eagle, one he unfortunatly recognised. So much bigger than him! And it pinned him under a talon with unshakable strength. He was trapped! And the eagle's claw was digging into him harder and harder.....
He awoke with a start, a hissing gasp coming from deep in his lungs, and pushed off the plush toy that had fallen onto him. It was a dream, just a dream...

Willow's ears preked up, and her head truned towards the direction of the sound. What was that? Her eyes narrowed, she knew it wasn't kesin because the bird didn't hiss, well not that she remembered.
She got up packing her paper away and started slinking towards the noise. There at the shelves she paused and looked up to try and get a bareing of where the noise was... she caught sight of the movement. She moved to the shelf it was on, several feet away, far enough to jump to the floor if it attacked. "Who are you?" She demanded.

Sidney rubbed his eyes, relief washing over him as he realised it wasn't real. He wasn't getting skewered by Carl and the eagle hadn't grown fifty times bigger than him. He sagged and let out a sigh.
But he sucked it back in again and wisked around as someone climbed on the shelf with him. He hadn't heard her before, her soft silent paws too quiet even for his senses.
"I'm Ssidney." He replied to her demanding question. "Who are you and why are you sssneaking up on a guy?"

Willow's tail flickered as she seen it was a naga. "Because I thought the shop was empty. You're gasping and what not startled me." Her ear twitched as she looked around.
She folded her arms. "I'm Willow, by the way." After her introduction she was looking him over to decide if he was any sort of danger.

Sidney looked surprised, partly because he hadn't expected to have startled anyone with just a gasp. And secondly... because he had apparently gasped out loud. Adventurers didn't give themselves away that easily! Nor did they start getting scared by unreal dreams!
He shook the feeling off though and regarded the newcomer. "Gassping and what-not? Oh well... ssorry about that Willow. Jusst woke up."
She seemed to be studying him and so he stared back. "You new? I've not sseen you before?" Surely he would have remembered a tiger in the shop?

"It's cool." She said clearly having decided he wasn't a threat. She sat down on the shelf her tail flickering. "Nah I've been here a while." She said with a shurg, her legs where dangling off the edge.
"I guess I've been sorta Scared what with LP and the ghosts both giving me hell." She said looking towards Sid. "What about you? I don't remember anyone with a snake... I don't think...." Her brows forrowed in thought.

"Have you? Oh well, I guesss sso. I mean, mosst velvetss sstart as plussshiess." He gave a little hissing laugh. "And you're cssertainly not one sstill. You look about my age?"
"I've been here agess! Well not here literally. I live with Dee. Sshe's the one who took me out of the chesst. " He flicked his tail and stretched his coils after his nap. Maybe it was because he'd never met this velvet or because he hadn't seen anyone in a long time, but he was alot more chatty today.
"LP.... I do remember her! Ssso she giving you a hard time? And ghossts too!" Sidney looked a bit shocked by that. He'd never met a real ghost before but he suspected they might try to scare you. Haunting. That's what it was called wasn't it?

"Yeah I was a plush at one point. THe only one I think of that was an teen when found would be Chasity. As far as I know she hangs around iris." Her tail flickered, "I'm a teen, so I'd assume we are."
She nodded, "I've heard LP metion Dee before...."
She chuckled, "Yeah. She's a nut case." She chuckled looking at Sid. "Oh yeah I can talk to them. There's never really a dull moment around."

Sidney peered around the shop, as if this Chasity might show up too. "Never heard of her before... sshe's a teen? Well if sshe's a velvet she musst have been a plussh at ssome point. Anyway, yeah Dee lookss after me - not that I can't take care of mysself though. But sshe's my mum."
He would have added that LP probably knew what he meant, staying with someone close to you even though you're capable of surviving on your own. Except he wasn't sure now. "She'ss a nut casse? I heard she was an ex-demon. I supposse that would be different... but then Toby lives with a pair of vampiress. What doess she do?"
He was surprised to hear that she could talk to ghosts too. He never really thought about it, just assuming there weren't any around, at least when he was around. "What do they say?" Was the first thing to spring to mind.

Willow nodded, "Yeah well she kinda showed up as a teen though. I think she migh've belong to the person that owned it before iris." Her tail flickered. "Yeah, I guess you'd call LP that too.." She wrinkled her nose, she always thought of LP as more of the friend type, not the parent type.
"Yeah but still that doesn't make her any less of a nut case." She chuckled and grined. "I know Iden is cool. LP? She doesn't do much of anything run around town sometimes and just kind of sits about and sulks."
SHe tilted her head and shurgs. "They carry on converstation like anyone else. Mostly they want to pass on."

"Oh, I'm ssurrissed I haven't sseen her before then." And he pondered where she might have been hiding all this time. Surely he would have found her in the shop before now, but the shop was pretty mysterious after all.
He looked up from his pondering in time to see Willow wrinkle her nose. "You don't like her?" He asked. It sounded like it if all she did was go off and then sit and sulk when she was at home. Didn't sound much fun. "Don't you do sstuff together? Like.. I dunno, watch movies or play games?" True, Sid hadn't played many games with Dee now he was older. Not the childish games like when he was younger. But they still watched films together.
"Oh right. Well I guesss they are ghostss of people after all." It hadn't occured to him before that they might say things other than ooOOooooOOoo. "You mean they can't passs on to the afterlife? That would be pretty annoying... esspecially if they wanted to."

Willow's tail flickered. "I think she was sleeping so to speak."
Tilting her head she shurged. "LP get's annonying. She's kind of gotten her own problems to worry about and things she has to do. Sure we do something together everynow and then but it's not much."
"Yes. Welll they could... I just have to umm.... finish the 'tasks' to help them."

"Oh." Sidney replied, a little surprised. He didn't know birds hibernated? But the way Willow said it made it sound like a different kind of sleep. Oh well, he would have to make a note of asking Chasity when he saw her.
"I guess she's very busy then. Oh well, sometimess I like having sspace and time to mysself." He replied. He was pretty content with the amount of time he spent with Dee. Most evenings and always at meals. But the rest of the time he liked to do his own thing. "But you're not lonely with all the ghosst around right? And if they're asking you to help them finissh sstuff then that'd keep you bussy. What kind of thingss do they ask you to do?"

Williow shurged softly. "Lonely, nah I much rather a small group or two or to be by myself." She pondered.
"What do they ask me to do?" She blinked slightly as she pondered. "Welll, so far I've been to china looking for a family temple. Because the ghost got lost. Um, helped a few say hellos or good byes. Although not many took it rather plesantly." She coughed, "Not use to small wakling and talking animals I suppose."
Pondering what else had she done, "There's alot that want help to do one thing or another. Some want to move on out of the shadow relm into the death plane, others.... others are in need of reincating... those are a bit harder to help place. And some just don't really care one way or another. There's one ghost who said she'd just rather stick by me and help me presue my every whim. Not to mention she fetchs needed things." She chuckled. "It's funny to see people's reactions when an object just floats to me.
