KiraLight ya! What imalane said mad d I've beaten myself up so many times because that's happened to me emo
but if I were buying an item, heck yeah, I want it to deflate!
If you are patient then the item which inflates could become most valuable; where as, an item deflates could prove to be pennies.

If an item that is harder to sell inflates then it will become more in demand, triple its value and become easier to sell... if an item that is worth more deflates then it will lose its value up to three times and become harder to sell - unless you have a vast quantity. Really it's more of a question as to whether you are determined or hard working.

Amai Sakura-chan I think either way, as a hoarder, I could see the silver lining. If a hard to sell item jumps in price before Ive sold it, then YAY! My value went up. Also if the price jumped, theres usually aa reason. It might be even easier to sell now, for more then I was orginially trying to sell it for. If I couldnt move it at 30K and it jumped to 50K, I could probbaly sell it pretty quickly for 44K.
If an expensive items crashes, then thats also great. For one the proce is likly to jump again, so I just hold onto the onees I have and wait, meinwhile I happily buy out all the underpriced items on the MP, and hoard them till the item acheives equlibrium.
Watch something like Fats price, Tektek, or anything else that gives you a long and detailed history. If its usually high and suddanly drops its likly to rise again. if its usually low and shoots up, SELL SELL SELL, is my bet. The exception of corse is the spike all donation letters tend to get the day after you can no longer buy them with real money.
Thats my two cents. Do with it what you will. (I'd buy a pink canration on the MP.) heart * Ironic * Mimzy's were sold for less than 100g just a week ago and now they're being sold for anywhere between 500g - 1k...

Fairy_of_Raine ~ heart I would hate it if an item deflates. Then, and only if I had the item, Iwould not be able to sell it for a fortune...or if i wanted to buy the Item I would be glad. I would purchase it and then once it inflates sell it to a buyer for good cash blaugh heart ~ 3nodding Price wars are always there; therefore, making it near impossible for an item, unless rare, to gain inflation of it's original worth after deflation.

purplewiz I've always treated price drops on items that are no longer available other than the secondary market as sales. Time to buy while it's on sale! If they're not making more and more people still want them, the price WILL rise. 3nodding

Peachiko An Item that's worth a lot deflates, just after you buy it. 8D~ That's really, really irritating.
However, I find it even worst, when you finally SELL a crappy item, and then suddenly, you find it jumping up to be more than it's worth, and then you want it back, because there's an item that is finally released to actually go with it. x3 I have learned recently that if it's an ensemble... keep it! If not - then you'll get it when you need it.

Mujouken Aijou I hate when an item that's worth alot crashes, but the trend overall right now is deflation. Ever since the release of the elegant sets, people started selling off their expensive things to get them, and the market just never recovered. So definitely a great time to buy, not so great to sell Yes, it is sad * shakes head *
