Just for knowledge's sake, here's a tidbit of information:
If you're testing before your period or within the first few days you think it should start, buy a regular +/- or two lines pregnancy test.
The digital Pregnant/Not Pregnant ones are great, except it takes more hormones to make it detect pregnancy, so early on, you may get a false negative.

The first test I took..was a regular one, aand it was positive((3days late for my period)) The second one was negative((it was a digital one, and and I took it 1.5 wks after the first one when I still had no period or cramping.)) In my family there has been about 5 pregnancies that werent detected til like 3-5 months, two of them were my mom((me and my brother)), would that at all affect me?

If you got a positive with a -/+ test, and negative with a digital, you're most likely pregnant. It may or may not be genetic, I don't know, but when in doubt, use a non-digital.

I've heard of women that have been 9 months pregnant and still didn't test positive on a pregnancy test. You should probably go to a doctor and have them do an ultrasound on you if you're still questioning your pregnancy. Pregnancy tests can give false negatives as well as false positives.

Thank you for answering my question. i know i am but the doctor tests r negative. so i think i am like the rrest of my family. Id be about 12 weeks now, and I have outgrown alll of my pants! its a nightmare. and i have a lump in my abdomen... the last time i was at the doctor, he didnt even think twice, all he said was "I doubt you have a herrnea" and walked out of the room. it made me so mad! I have all of the signs still, and even when i doubt i am preggos i still have them so it cant be me jus wanting to be pregnant.

HA. Yeah, I figured that out today.
I'm trying to get pregnant, and took a cheap test, and there was a purple smudge where the positive should come out. I'd taken the same kinds of tests in the past, and never got the smudge, but it was clearly there.
So for cheapness sake, when I went to get a test, I got the clearblue digital. rolleyes It was a few bucks less than everything else. Of course, they're also only 57% likely to give you a positive 4 days before your period.
