I usually go ahead and buy the games I really want, put off the rest for a few months. The PSP price drop and $19.99 games look so good right now.

I have often done that.
Biding my time, waiting in the darkness (my home with the blinds drawn), until the price drops. Then, like a ninja , I leap forward, snatch the game (and pay--don't want to be arrested! whee ), and away I go, back into the darkness to play.
...I'm not exactly the ninja, though sometimes I do wear all black. 3nodding

I am far too poor to buy games at 50 dollars a pop. Usually I borrow with friends, but if I want a game I'll get it used. Mostly I don't get to play very many this way crying

Seeing as I am a poor little girl, I usually wait to get games. I got in trouble for buying Kingdom Hearts II with the money I was supposed to buy bras with, though. sweatdrop

If its a game I really want like Final Fantasy or KH I'll pay the $50 or even the $60 for xbox games like Halo 3 whenever that comes out.

Most of the time I'm too impatient. I'll buy a game right when it comes out and then see it like six months later for $19.99. crying There are a few games though that I've held off on, one being Dirge of Cerberus. I'm waiting until that one drops a little more before I finally buy it.

when it's something that makes me interested in it but not the OMFG MUST BUY mode i usually wait, but if it is something like Wow or the dawn of war MMO then i'm like OMFG MUST BUY and i'll spend like 50 bucks or more on the game and even new hardware if my computer can't run it...yet

AHA!! I got it used for $30!! Mwa ha haa!! Feel my wrath, FFXII! Tee hee smile I feel a lot better, 'cause now I can make fun of the people who bought it for fifty. Not like they care, but it makes me feel better heart
I went insane and didn't sleep last night, except for when I fell asleep for an hour at the controller... I woke up when my alarm went off, and I hadn't died. I felt so lucky smile

You're all greedy selfish ********, I don't care what you say to try and justify it. this is pretty true... i wouldn't say greedy though... just cheap. but at the same time, i have many international friends who do the same thing.. so really its not just americans... its a lot of people... welcome to earth, a place filled with cheap/greedy people who typically care for themselves more than others... biggrin but really... if its a game i really want i'll buy it.. if its a game i want to try, then i tend to wait.... $50 is too much for a game that might not be good.

Evinta I don't think i will be buying a second hand again till i look at teh disk, just a warning i brought a game from EB games and didn't check the disk and well i had to pay for the repair. I buy my gaming systems and my games from Games Stop and EB games....you should be able to get another game for free there.....but that is what the do at the Game Stop around my area. ^^
