The name Kushinada has never appeared in the Naruto manga, yet, but given Kishimoto's habit of naming things after myth, it may happen.

Below is a few examples of what I can think of how Kishimoto might use this name:
Jutsu: Kushinada was married to the god Susanoo, who was part of a trio of gods including Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi, both names Kishimoto has used for Mangekyou Sharingan doujutsu. Susanoo is assumed to be a third MS jutsu and perhaps Kushinada either a S-Ranked jutsu or a minor MS jutsu.
Person: Sasuke is sometimes compaired to Susanoo. So it is possible Kushinada is a kunoichi, even the kunoichi that Kishi hinted at in an interview, or perhaps a princess. Given her partly means rice paddy, perhaps she is a princess of the Rice Field Country (although it is just as likely the anime team named the country after her).
Weapon: While Kusanagi remained a sword, if gods can be jutsu then perhaps they can be weapons too. Not necessarily a weapon Sasuke would use, but a weapon named after the princess.
Item: In the myth, Susanoo transformed Kushinada into a comb and hid her safely in his hair. It is possible that Kushinada is nothing more than a comb, but we do have one example of where a necklace turned out to be more than a necklace, so perhaps the comb is special too.

Vote and use your imagination over who or what Kishimoto might name Kushinada. Remember, given the name is linked to the death of Yamata no Orochi, it is possible Kishi will link this to Orochimaru's death.

Its quite obvios Sasuke is Susanoo within the story. Susanoo slayed the Orochi, gained the Kusanagi, went to the "underworld", has siblings called Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi, is the god known for thunder (which is one of Sasukes affinities along with fire), is associated with "heaven" (Sasuke has the "heavenly eyes"--quoted from databook, and heaven seal). The 3 treasures of Orochi are associated with him as well when he brought the 3 treasures to reconcile with Amaterasu:
-The Magatama beads represent the tomoe marks in his sharingan, and the shape of his "heaven" seal
- The Yata no Kagami (the mirror)- represents the Sharingan or the "copy wheel eye"
-Kusanagi- this one should be obvious

One of sasuke's goals is to revive his clan, along with killing itachi. We now know that Sasuke was lying when he said he would give oro his body, and that he was lying when he said he forgot about everyone else and his bonds. So now there's no more excuse by people to state that sasuke forgot about his other most important goal. In japanese culture, honoring the clan is the most important thing, and the things such an avenger as Sasuke is to do is to revive the clan and avenge their deaths.

Karin comes from Orochimaru, and is the person people have predicted sasuke would be with since people have always stated that Konoha women wouldn't be associated with him. People also said that unless if Sasuke met someone else during the timeskip, then his only choice was Sakura. Well, since we see this chapter, the choices left are Sasuke/Karin or Sasuke/Sakura to revive the clan. Karin comes from Orochimaru as well.

And does anyone think Kishi will sidle up such a job to Sakura as making babies for Uchiha? Not if shes meant to surpass Tsunade no. Also, it would possibly hurt the theme of the Sannin.

Karin resembles Itachis and Sasuke's mother, Mikoto Uchiha (judging from her hair and the color of her hair, along with the body shape). If her form is very similar to Mikoto-san when we finally see her then you can pretty much say that this theory now has a 100 percent chance of happening. Men instinctively look to marry women like their mothers due to Oedipus conflict.

The final point is that Kishimoto would not forget such an important goal of clan revival for Sasuke. There's no way he's gonna do artifical insemnation (please don't even argue it since that would just be a joke), and the only other choice is Sakura. The chance that he'll end up with no one at this point is slim to none.

Since i believe Naru/saku or Lee/saku has a better chance of happening at this point, it seems Sasuke/karin has the most chance of happening. However I acknowlege that Sasu/saku has a chance of happening as well. I believe that the one who will represent Kushinada within the story will be sasuke's bride, and if Sakura somehow manages to be it, then that's what will happen.

Thank you for reading my post.

I like this and it makes sense.

Actually, I feel the revival of his clan is something that has been completely left behind. So if his goal is to do both, kill Itachi and breed then wouldn't it make sense to do latter since he could die and not leave behind a son/daughter. I don't know what is the goal of him assembling this team but they seem disposable. I don't feel this Kariin/Sasuke pairing will happen.
