Raphine sat behind the desk as she did every day. She was there to help the people of Gaia become well. You would think she may be a doctor or nurse, but ... Raphi was squeamish when it came to that stuff. She could watch, but actually doing surgeries or giving shots were things Raphi simply couldn’t do. Plus ... well, Raphi just wasn’t that smart. She wasn’t stupid, but she simply couldn’t contain so much information. She was a simple girl who was good at organizing and loved her job. Raphi was a receptionist at the local hospital. She had just moved to a new sector of the hospital - the children’s area. She worked with the pediatricians and got to see little children with puffy faces and teary eyes, stickers and lolly-pops. Dressed in a simple red button-up shirt, a black tie, black pleated skirt and fishnets, Raphi sat on the swivel chair and began typing away at the keyboard. She got certain folders belonging to certain patients ready so they could proceed to their appointment and get better. She then was ready for the rush of phone calls which would pour in when the hospital was “open.”
The day was going normal, with cute faced children and worried parents. She was going to the very back of the office area, going to grab a few needed forms. It was the end of the day, and almost everyone was gone. Quietly, as Raphi did everything, she opened the door and turned on the faint dull light. It seemed all the light bulbs had burned out except for one which tried it very hardest to burn brightly. It wasn’t working to well, but Raphi smiled softly at the determined light. She went on her lippy toes, looking for forms and papers needed for the next day. And before she knew what was going on, something tragic began.
She could feel her weight shifting ... She was threatening to fall. Her hand clamped onto the black shelving unit, but it didn’t stop gravity from its work. It was too late. She pulled the huge storage system down with her. She couldn’t see anything. All she could tell was that her head was wet and there was something keeping her from standing up. And before she knew it, she was left there, alone in a closed closet no one but the newbie’s went to as they ran for others. A woman with black hair which was covered in dark red blood lay helpless on the cement ground. A huge black shelving system was pressing against her body. Her soul left her, and no one would ever find her...

It was rare that a soul got out of the body before the spirits in charge of her death got to it. But luckily the soul was caught and sent on it's way to be bonded with that of a Tison deity in no time at all.
Her body now had to be dealt with. Once it was vanished and repaired-readied once again for living-the mess had to be cleaned up and then her body had to be placed in a bed on the Tison vessel the Samadueanna. The captain of the Ship-Rouge Remika, and her 6 year old charge went into the room-carrying a PDA that listed all of Raphine's information-and awaited her awakening. Around the woman's neck a gold chain hung, and when the woman's soul bonded with that of a deity, a relic appeared on it. This relic was of a small white bird with a green leafy branch wrapped around it. And when Raphi was sent back to her body the goddess's soul went into that relic, allowing the woman to wake up again to be informed of her new task.

It was a strange, out-of-body experience ... quite literally. She never imagined or dreamed that she would wake up after death had hit her. She never imagined dieing so suddenly, with so little meaning. She suddenly had a huge urge for her life to be worth something. She awoke before she got up, her face pure and soft still. Slowly, unsure of what she was like, and where she was, her grey eyes slowly fluttered open like a new butterfly, flitting her wet wings. Likewise, the tear drenched eyelashes batted as she blinked, letting her sight come to focus, and see what had happened. This all made little sense in her head at the moment, though she didn’t think death would make sense either.
She awoke, now fully, eyes searching for something, anything, which she could comprehend. But she didn’t even think about her surroundings after the first mere moment of panic. Instead, she suddenly focused on a cold light weight around her neck. A golden chain, and simply dove and leaf lay on her bare skin, attached to a chain which she hadn’t put there. Where she was suddenly didn’t matter with this around her neck. It entranced her, and all went calm. She simply waited, knowing there was another meaning for all this.

"Hallo there." The boy said cheerfully, walking over to see her. Rouge was tired so she let Dia do the talkign this time. "You're gonna be a mommy!"
