Sasuke and Naruto - Chemicals React In life we meet many souls. and when we die, these souls meet again. I believe in soulmates, and I believe when you find a soul that is akin to your's. That soul will travel with you for the rest of eternity. Just because these two people, Uzumaki Naruto and Uchiha Sasuke, can barely stand to be around each other. Means nothing. Through all the years they are apart their paths were meant to cross. And now that they have found each other their souls will never be the same again.

Background: Sole survivor of the Uchiha clan when his elder brother went on a killing rampage.
The Deal with him: Sasuke was a regular adorable ninja student with big dreams of being an excellent ninja like his elder brother. But after Itachi killed their family and screwed up his mind to "live in an unsightly way", Sasuke became cool, and calls himself an 'avenger', whose purpose in life was to kill his brother. For some obscure reason, that made all the girls at the academy fall in love with him.
Sasuke first started to use his Sharingan when he fought against Haku with Naruto at Wave Country. His pretty eyes and body attracted the liking of Orochimaru, who wishes to take over his body after he became truly strong. To show his admiration, Orochimaru left a cursed seal after delightfully sinking his fangs into Sasuke's neck, which Kakashi sealed, but threatens to unleash everytime Sasuke gets excited in a fight.
After engaging in a precarious fight with Naruto, Sasuke felt inferior as he seemed not to be improving as much as Naruto. Orochimaru took the chance to send the Sound 4 ninjas to convince Sasuke to leave the Leaf village to seek more power from Orochimaru. Thus, Sasuke abandoned Konoha (Sakura's endless whining might have helped him decide to leave in a hurry) and is on his way to the Sound village.

Background: 13 years ago, a great nine-tailed demon fox aka Kyuubi attacked the Village of the Leaf. In order to save the village, the 4th hokage sealed the demon fox in a newborn baby's body and sacrificed himself to suffer endlessly in Death's stomach. The baby was Naruto.
The Deal with him: Even though Naruto was only the vessel to trap the Kyuubi, the village saw him as the demon itself and everybody hated and ostracised him. Thus Naruto grew up lonely, friendless and determined to make his mark one day as the greatest hokage so everybody would acknowledge him.
The first few who acknowledged Naruto were the 3rd hokage, Iruka and Konohamaru (who was totally awed by Naruto's ingenious sexy no jutsu). Who Naruto really wished would acknowledge him then was Sakura, his crush. But Sakura was totally infatuated with Sasuke because he was oh-so-cool and that was one of the reasons Naruto became fierce rivals with Sasuke.
Besides being a ninja, one of his jobs is also to reach out to people like him who had a troubled childhood (eg. Haku, Inari and Gaara).
Naruto harassed the perverted Jiraiya into training him for the final Chuunin exams and the 2 grew rather fond of each other (father-and-son way not the perverted way!!).
Naruto also technically saved Konoha by saving Tsunade from Kabuto, and touched Tsunade enough to be convinced that she should be the 5th hokage.

Chemicals React - Why SasuNaru? You may ask why I like this pair. Well I would have to say they are just like the many other pairs I like. They are different. Another thing that makes this pair so lovable is how these two boys hate each other. Like I explain in the introduction post, when two souls meet they are bound together for all eternity. As much as Saskue would like to leave Naruto forever he can't. He is stuck with him and visa versa.
Sasuke and Naruto are so unfortunate in the since that they have to spend just about every waking second with someone they hate. Well before Sasuke left. But they are two luckiest beings in the series in the since that neither one of them would ever give up on each other. Well Naruto would never give up on Sasuke that is for sure. He would rather let Sasuke almost kill him than let him leave Konoha with out a fight. If you have ever seen episodes 332 to 334 I believe you know what I am talking about. I unfortunately don't know what chapters in the manga this fight occurred in and I apologize for that.
I feel I should explain why I picked this title for this thread. Well I picked "Chemicals React" because Naruto and Sasuke both were two seperate people when they first met. Two souls. But after meeting they changed. They became one in a since. When two chemicals come together they change and make one. You can take two very deadly chemicals and turn them into some edible! Not say you can eat bowls of SasuNaru for breakfast in the morning but if you could I bet it wouldn't kill ya! We have already seen in the latest chapter that with out Naruto Sasuke is pretty deadly. And I'm sure given the chance alone Naruto could surely slaughter someone.

Chemicals React - An Explanation So I feel I should explain the real point of veiw to this thread. I know this is the pairings and couples thread but I never truly saw SasuNaru as a pair. I always saw them more as soulmates. Which I think I have made VERY clear in this thread.
Soulmates does no necessarily mean they are in love. It just means that they are two souls that shall never part. This pair is more than just a hot yaoi fanfic/fanart idea. SasuNaru is a really good symbol of devotion and friendship. I find this pair to be more of a friendly one than a loving kissy type one. Naruto and Sasuke have a very deep very devoted friendship. Although they are parted for quite a while they find each other again. Things might have failed on their second meet but it's not the end of the legacy.
Maybe if Jiraiya had been this devoted to Orochimaru when they were younger things wouldn't be the way they are. Naruto is pretty much hellbent on keeping Sasuke sane and you know, not so evil. Which so far has failed. But still I feel Naruto will not give up on his friend. I think if it were not for Sasuke thirst for power he would have never left Konoha.
Despite what people say, SasuNaru is more than just a cute yaoi pair. I believe the same for SakuIno. You may not agree with me but I personally don't find this pair to be a couple. Naruto and Sasuke are soulmates in my opinion. But not much more. Even though I love the fanfictions and the fanart that says otherwise lol.

Chemicals React - SakuIno/GaaLee vs. SasuNaru I am going for a different approach this time. Instead of debating over pairs using these two characters I will use pairs similar in aspect to SasuNaru. I believe the same soulmate theory applies to these pairs just like SasuNaru.
SakuIno Argument
All you can say for Sasunaru can be said for this pair. Two souls, maybe of the same sex, are bound together not necessarily in love but in friendship. We all know that Ino will do anything for Sakura and visa versa. In the forest of death battle between Kin, Shikamaru, Dosu, and Ino they were defending Sakura and her teammates because they couldn't defend them selves. I am sure if the circumstances had been switched onto Sasuke fighitng for Naruto he wouldn't have done it then but he would now. And I can say that without a doubt the same applies to Naruto. I can't really say SakuIno is a lose over SasuNaru. Because it's not. If SakuIno isn't a greater pair it is an equal. So SasuNaru lost this round.
GaaLee Argument
This is a pair that SasuNaru can truly win over. GaaLee is only a "cannon/non-crack" pair because they fought side by side. Of course Gaara did show some devotion to Lee. But his devotion was taken the wrong way by GaaLee fans. The fight against Kimimaro was not ONLY to protect Lee it was the show a new alliance established between Konoha and Suna. So this pair can easily be disproved. Although all pairs can be disproved. Because all pairs are fan based. What a fan wants a fan gets. But I personally say that this is a round won for SasuNaru.
SasuNaru Argument
The main attraction is here. The reason NaruSasu works more than GaaLee and is equal to SakuIno is, they are friends. And all relationships end best when they are kept at a friendly level. But when a friendship is unbreakable. It is always more painful to say goodbye to a friend than to a boyfriend or girlfriend that doesn't work. SasuNaru is the better pair because it is not just a pair. It is a friendship. A loyal friendship. And loyalty is the most important part of a relationship. A friendly one or a loving one. No matter what view you look at SasuNaru from it just works. There are many conflicts that can be brought up and there is many more things to be said. So if you have something I left out. Tell me so. Argue with me people!

Chemicals React - SasuNaru or NaruSasu? SasuNaru would be the name for fans who believe Sasuke is the more dominate one, or rather has more control. What control does he have over Naruto anyways? I supose if you think about it, Sasuke has the power to just up and leave anytime he wants. He has something to go do, if he ever lost his reason for staying in Konoha he could jsut go do it. But then again, Naruto has the power to let go. He could just stop caring, well he could try.
SasuNaru, or NaruSasu, or whatever you want to call it, is nothing more than a never ending game of cat and mouse. Looking at SasuNaru in a lovers prespective would set the game like this; Sasuke only ever left, and continues to be away, so Naruto will chase him. And explaination in a more logical way? Simple, Sasuke didn't really want to leave Nruto, or Sakura for that matter. His leaving was nothing personal against the two, he just simply had a duty to fulfill.
One way or another, it seems that Sasuke has the upper than on the situation. Although Naruto cane pretend to not care baout his friend, it is only an act. Sasuke can honestly leave. So if there is any question as to who has more control, it would be Sasuke from my perspective. So in my personal opinion SasuNaru takes the cake.
