Does anyone know anything about the Art Institute of Pittsburgh's Online Division? Or about Westwood Online?
I want to major in Game Art & Design, BTW.

I have heard about Pratt but if you really want to go someplace warmer, Ringling is instant win.
Some pretty amazing stuff comes out of that school.

bluh
I've been considering going to school, but none of the places I've looked into will send info to Canada.
I wonder if there are any worthwhile home study courses - travel is not easy for me.

I go to Pratt and I have to disagree with the Pretentious Students comments. I actually found RISD to be INCREDIBLY more pretentious. I disliked the students there a LOT. And you'd be surprised at how many Pratt students actually dislike Andy Warhol...
But that aside, it's a great school, in a great neighborhood with great resources. New York City is arguably one of the largest art mecca's in the world, so schools like Pratt, SVA, FIT, Parsons, Cooper etc. are in high demand. I can't imagine myself at any other school. Most of the students are pretty down to earth. I mean, obviously there will always be a few that are annoying as hell, but as a general rule, most students are open to critique and are there to grow. I had a fantastic first year and would highly recommend Pratt to any art student planning on attending an art school on the east coast.
While the price tag is high, they do offer some pretty generous scholarships and numerous opportunities to get more money over the course of the year.
