so my friends and I had a big fight about god and science. I'm athiest and believen science. They believen god but have no proof he exists. Science is proof enough. They can't really say god made earth and everything. In science it shows how land is form. Which do you think made earth, god or science?

Why not both?
I believe that God works through science. So, I'm not going to vote until you put down a third option in your poll. 3nodding
I'm no fundamentalist, believe me - like you, I doubted the existence of God for several years. Science never needs belief, so you're the kind of person who needs cold, hard proof - we have alot in common.
Certain circumstances in my life have shown me the existence of a greater life, that connects us all. (See my Death thread.) I suppose you could call it the universe, or God, or whatever you please. Names are rather irrelevant.
Just as I say, when the scientist reaches the top of the mountain, he will find the saint, who was sitting there all along.

She dreams.....
technically both are wrong, and both are right.
The god story leaves out the dinosaurs and what not while science is still alittle sketchy.
 ...I am her Nightmare.

My question is dinosaurs.
But, I guess God does work though science. That sounds right.

I grew up in a religious setting and I was basically taught not to question the Bible or God but if you think about it, the bible was written by men. Which means they could have embellish quite a bit. Which also means you can't always belive everything you read. According to Christians, God is honest, but men are known to lie. Since I think of most of the miracles in the bible as embellishments, science and God go completly hand in hand.

As if I believe that.. stare I remember learning about dinosaurs in school and my mother asked me if I believed in dinosaurs. I said yes. Then she said to me that the bible didn't mention the dinosaurs. She looked so distraught because dinosaurs are widely accepted and I had no choice but to learn about them, no matter what she did. I love my mother to death, but sometimes....well, sweatdrop I can't really think of a word for it.

Several of the books in the bible were written over decades be different people. I believe in god, but not in the sense you do, for me the the definition of god is 1 thing - life.

I have a similar belief to yours. I imagine that god is one thing as well - and that one thing is, well, everything. smile
