Well I made this thread originally intending it to be a place where people could bounce bizarre fanfic ideas off eachother or discuss random inspiration.
Now, Tulip has learned a big lesson: Don't listen to musicals while reading Saiyuki. I was listening to Stephen Sondheim's "Into the Woods", more specifically to the witch's "you wish to have the curse reversed." thing where she was telling the baker and his wife what they need to get to have a baby and two of the things were "the cape as read as blood, the hair as yellow as corn" now, I'm zoning out and reading Saiyuki and hear in my head "The hair as red as blood". As a result, I've written three chapters of a 83 mpreg fanfiction where they are questing for the 4 items so that they can magically be able to have a baby together o_O;

done stuff like that. like i was doing tea kwon do, and instead of thinking about the moves i was doing. i would think about hakkai and his chi attacks, and find my self lost in real world and a teacher staring at me.

When my best friend first saw Sayuki, she wasn't interested because she was really into Wiess Kreuz at the time and she got the idea in her head that Sayuki was just a WK imitation or something. Anyway, if I had some more time and imagination, I think it would be fun to write a fanfic where the Sayuki boys have to trade lives with the Wiess Kreuz boys for two weeks. That could be hilarious.

Well, one day as I was walking home from school with a friend, we passed a soccer field and saw a bunch of little kids in underarmor. Black underarmor. And it made us think... what does Sanzo wear under his robes but Black underarmor! This led to a doujinshi of Sanzo's secret life... he passes a soccer ball in a field, looks around to make sure no ones watching, then rips his robes off and goes running off with his ball. Of course Hakkai, Gojyo and Goku are hiding in the bushes taking blackmail pics. mrgreen

*laughs* I know what you all are talking about!! Sometimes, I think EVERYTHING can be turned into a Saiyuki story. And I mean everything. My friend and I have come up with so many random ideas. Mainly movies we've seen.
Examples:
Disney's The Little Mermaid. (Hey, she has red hair...) We planned everything out and it all fit perfectly! Never got around to writting it though...
Three Men and A Baby: Would totally work. Love that movie.
Titanic: OMG I had everything planned out to. It was so good and complicated and had and awesome plot! But then...I didn't have the heart to kill them at the end. crying
I could think of a zillion more examples too!!

Oh come on...that's not so bad! It's fun forcing the guys into musical theater....I was cracking myself up one day trying to put the entire cast of Saiyuki into "Anything Goes"...I gave up after my imagination had Lirin pound Goku into a pile of mush for stepping on her feet while they were dancing....that and I ended up with Yaone playing Reno....and I don't like Yaone enough to be happy with her being the star of the show...

I thought of something like the Wizard of Oz. Sanzo is Dorothy. blaugh Hakkai had always been the quiet type, so he could be the cowardly lion. Gojyo needs a heart, Goku needs a brain. (Not implying anything.)
