I am trying to learn to color like the Color Nazis.

That aside, I know some of you use Open Canvas. Can any of you tell me why the hell it is that in this particular picture, whenever I use the color picker tool, it lays down that color as being slightly darker than the color I picked? I am not on a multiply layer, and as far as I know, my brush is not on a "multiply" setting. I am using the watercolor tool.

It's driving me nuts. ><;

OH, so maybe I didn't have this problem with the other picture I did with this tool because it was on a white background or something. :/

I was using the pen tool before, but it took much longer to get results that were not as nice.
