If anyone's wondering, I've been networking with the south of England's guild members ever since the news of the blasts broke. Everyone seems to be shaken but unhurt.

I have to admit that I was a bit worried about you guys across the pond there (though Lord knows how off I am as far as you guys' locations are concerned).
I'm just hoping that the situation doesn't get worse...Hopefully it won't, as these things tend to go off all of a sudden and then nothing after. My condolenses go out to all the poor folks who lost family and friends there, though.

I'm near Manchester. Xag's in Newcastle. Tilberios is in Scotland. We're in the north and well out of it.

Eon and CJ're in the south, but well away from London.

Warnersister lives about ninety minutes away from London by train.

Samwise lives in London itself, but he's okay.

Although it's fairly chilling that the blew up the next road along from where I used to live (within line of sight) when I worked in London, and my regular commuter route, as well as just generally my old neighbourhood.

21 people died on a train I took most days, I've been seeing places I lived in, shopped in and walked past splattered with blood and shrapnel on the news all day, and there's still one friend I haven't managed to contact yet...

I really feel bad about this. And whats the point in all? Is there some kind of pattern being made? First America, then Spain, Now England?

My stepdads from Britian, so this news impacts us more than usual americans.

But I do hope this doesnt diminish your spirits over there! Knowing Britain through history, you should be able to get back up and through a couple punches of your own now!

We'll support you in any way we can!

I don't want to repeat in public the sort of geo-political ranting I've been having over IM, but I think it's no coincidence that Britain and Spain both followed Bush to Iraq.

Does he have family over here still? Is everyone okay?

Thanks.

First, we have to find out who the culprits were. And even then, violence only breeds violence. If people want to do something like this, then it's hard to fight an idea.

I dont think anyone of his family was hurt, But he doesnt talk about them much to us. Ill find out tonight if anything.

I wish Ghandi's lessons could make everything work, But sometimes to make people listen, you have to get dirty once in awhile.

And I would love to hear this theory you have! I got so many, one more would just be dandy!

D'oh! I should have paid more attention to the announcements before posting a thread asking if everyone was okay. Xo

I'm glad to hear that all the UKers here are all right...

I just got news that a friend's son - another friend of mine - was actually on one of the trains that was bombed.

Luckily, he's okay. But it doesn't get much closer than that.

I have a person on my friendlist from England, Amotas. I sent her a PM to see if she's okay but she hasn't responded yet. I hope she's just tied up right now.

Hate to contradict you there- i wish I had been. But I'm currently in London, and I was in the Centre shortly after the bombs went off.
Arrived at Victoria on my way to... somewhere, to discover the Tube shut off, the buses not running, police all over the place, and the mobile networks going down. Was told it was electrical explosions at first, then after about half an hour heard the words "terrorist attack". Heard luggage alerst going off, so decided it might be a good idea to leave.
Got a train back to East Croydon, only to be informed en route that it had been evacuated. Instead was droped off at South Croydon, and had to find my way across the city.
Long morning.
Everyone I know seems to be ok, though. Casualties are pretty low compared to, say, Madrid.
