CONCORD -- Security measures have been beefed up at Clayton Valley High School, triggered by fears of a rumored student suicide pact that is centered on Tuesdays.
Those concerns were running so high that students and parents packed an informational assembly on student suicide that was held at the school on Monday night. Over the last month, three Concord area students have committed suicide on Tuesdays.
"My sister was the first girl who killed herself last month and my mom and my parents did everything they could possibly do," said a teenager who asked not to be identified. "They took her to therapy for years and years. They told her they loved her. They told her everything and she still committed suicide for some reason."
--
But some parents felt there has been not enough communication from the school about the possibility that there is a suicide cult and that violence may occur on campus on Tuesday.
"We feel that this is nothing more than a rumor," said John Neary, the school's principal. "At the same time, I am not a fortune teller or a soothsayer. I don't know in fact what tomorrow will bring. I am confident however, it will be another day at Clayton Valley, like today, like Friday."
However, school officials weren't taking any chances. There was extra security and resources on the Clayton High campus on Tuesday.

Anyone else out there from this area? I go to Clayton Valley high school, and an opinion or view from someone outside the school or area would be much appriciated.
There's also concern about a potenial shooting at CVHS today, aimed at Juniors. I'm kind of scared for my life, kind of relieved that there has been no credible evidence.
Any other information is appriciated, as well.
