okay, I got this game 4 DS called children of mana, And I instantly fell in love with it. then I reasearched it on the square enix website, and I found that they are making 1 for PS2 called Dawn of mana, which takes place 10 years before children of mana.
me when I found out: eek
I really want the game. REALLY. It comes out may 22, so I'm like counting the days. and my brother says Im retarded D:
so, any thots on either of them?
mine is that I hate it when a monster hits you, and you go flying into other monsters and bounce of them and it hurts like hell!! stressed

I just finished Children of Mana yesterday on a road trip! I really enjoyed the game throughout, but towards the end I thought it got a bit disappointing. The plot got a little bit convoluted, and certain battles I was greatly anticipating were less than challenging. But I'd still recommend the game to others and I am looking forward to the new game coming out in May! Honestly, it's going to take a special game to take CoM's place in my DS.

I havent finished children of mana yet, but I will, and then when I beat dawn of mana in a couple of months, I'll just have to play it again!

Haven't played the mana series but I have played the Dawn of Mana for the Ps2 [can anyone say Japanese import? xd ].
It's pretty cool. The fighting is a bit like KH in that you swing about and jump and such. The characters and animation are pretty cool, very colorful as is the background, and lovely animations [though, they look a lot like they're kids rather than teens]!
I didn't finish it or get even halfway as it belonged to my cousin who asked me to help him since he got stuck [and he can't read Japanese... sweatdrop ], but from what I have played so far, I would definitely buy it. 3nodding
