There isn't really a best choice. It just depends on your taste and who's personality you like best. It really bugs me that people would go and say (and I'm not accusing anybody!) that, let's say Cliff for example and no, I got nothin' against him, he's really sweet, Cliff is the best choice to marry because he's hot. Like maybe someone likes nerdy guys who are really sweet and very caring. Well then, they might marry Rick because that is his personality. even though he is a little too over protective.
I married Rick on my game. I loved how sweet he was. Kawaii! heart
But yes, it really just depends on your taste in digital guys. Heck, they don't even help out, they just walk around your table for the morning then leave and come back really late. And now I'll shut up because I said a lot and I probably confused to many people with my stupid sermon. whee

Next to Cliff, I'd go for Gray. But Cliff's just so sweet! heart Gwendy, I love your Harvest Moon art! They're really good. And Cliff is my second fave, after Rick. Next is the Doctor.

but when ever i try to ask Cliff to marry me, he refuses.

I married the doctor on one file and cliff on another. Cliff is sweet but I like the doctor too. Maybe cliff is the better "husband" type you know.

Well I would say
-Cliff:: He has a pretty good personality and he is pretty strong in his personality.
-Gray:: He's a little on the shy/tough side like Cliff but you have to work hard for him...
